Joining a raid...sounds like a dumb question, but...

Is there a way to tell if other people are battling already? I know, some of you are thinking "duh, look around you" and yes, that works much of the time. But one of the gyms closest to me is in a multilevel building with lots of balconies. Really not possible to tell. I participated in a raid on a blastoise yesterday and got roasted on a spit - didn't know I was the only one until I had already used my raid pass. Is this all part of Niantic trying to make us talk to people? LOL. Dammit.

No and if you already entered using the pass I would restart the queue and wait if you have 0 people in the group for Tier 4.

I tried putting a Lure on a nearby stop hoping people would see the activity and possibly come by to join in. No such luck, but Lures are pretty useless in my area so I figured I'd use it to Lure people to raids instead.

Yep, definitely not going to try Tier 4 again by myself. Sticking to Tier 2 or lower unless I'm at an open area and see a large group of people near me, tapping on their phones, lol. Stinks, because I passed on a Tyranitaur raid this morning due to this concern, but I figured if a Blastoise chewed me up that bad, the Tyranitaur would probably floss its teeth with me.

I hear spoofers go to Tyranitar raids so perhaps if you hang around (you do have an hour), spoofers and their armies might come by even if you were not part of the 1st group...

Generally tier 4 raids, go early and wait...get in first group, win...
