IV is everything for defenders?
After playing with battle simulator for top tier defenders (1 - 2.5), the results show the time to win is a matter of a few seconds among different movesets of the same defender species.
Therefore, it seems to me that only IV matters and moveset not materially for defenders. So no need to feel that disappointed when getting non optimal moveset for defending mons. Right?

The time to win is primarily a function of attacker damage rate. Attacker damage depends on the defender defense, not defender attacks/moveset. Instead defender attacks/moveset influences how much damage you take.
This can matter in some cases, particularly with Blissey. For example, I'm more inclined to skip a gym with DG Blisseys than Psy Blisseys because I know I'm going to end up taking a lot more damage and using a lot more resources. I also may indirectly take more time because I may not be able to get through as many defenders in a row, so I'll need to have more series of battles.
Honestly? Why do you people care about your defenders movesets? Is it that important to rage an attacker? You know, you also rage your own Team Trainers with it...
I mean if there is a willing attacker, he will beat the Gym down, no matter what movesets the Mons in it have.
Only way to keep attackers away ist to put a bunch of Blisseys and Snorlax in a Gym..
Unless there is no gamechanging Thing in the Gym rework, everything what counts ist the offensive moveset. Cause this is what you really Benefit from.
