IV's along CP value.

There's something that I dont understand... I have two lvl20 Articunos that I want to compare

1) one with 1645cp and A:14 D:12 S:12 and the IV calc says that it is 84.4%

2) and other with 1643cp and A:12 D:15 S:13 but the calc says is 88.9%

So, #1 has higher CP but low IVs and #2 lower CP but higher IV's....so the numbers make any sense for me. Anyone who can explain??

it's because attack IV's matter more for cp caculation

so the 14 attack vs 12 attack more then compensates for the lower defense and health.

Extending what the others said: different IVs are worth different amounts for each pokemon, usually with Atk being worth the most. For Wobbuffet, 1 ATK IV is worth about 13.5 times as much as 1 HP IV, because its ATK is so low and its HP is so high naturally. Contrast to Alakazam, where HP IV's are actually worth more than ATK because it has the opposite extreme in its base stats.

For Articuno and Lugia, which have high natural DEF, their DEF IV's matter about 1/3 as much as their ATK ones. I hate when IV calculator sites just advertise your percentage (x/45 IV's), because distribution really matters.

In summary: if the pokemon has a lot of it, the IV's in that stat matter less.

Now I get it, thanks for the answer! I guess the one i should power up is the one with higher attack.
