Is it worth to power up a banette ??

as the question says. Is it worth powering up a SC/SB banette (100%) as a replacement for not having a SC/SB gengar ??. Looking at its stats, is really fragile, would it work for soloing alakazam ??

It will last a little longer than Gengar since it isn't weak to Psychic, but it is much weaker. Pokebattler seemed to indicate (unless I'm reading it wrong) that even Hex/Shadow Ball on a Gengar was better, if both attackers were at level 40. Banette has much less ATT.

What sim Did you do? My pokebattler sim show that Gengar outlives benette In Almost all cases.

Gengar-Hex seems almost to have the exakt DPS rate as benette-SC (Gengar has a 0,04% higher DPS).

Playing style: fireing charge move directly when full and dodging only charge move with realistic chance of dodging. Lvl 40

I would power it up just for the sake of being 100% and not being completely useless.
Plus Banette looks really good in my opinion and even if Gengar is better, Banette's still strong enough to solo Alakazam with it (atleast vs the strongest moveset - C/FB - it's 3rd best after Gengar and Mewtwo)
Sure, overall there are better options, but like I said, 100% Badasses have a place in my collectors heart

It works for soloing Alakazam but it's not amazing even with perfect IVs. A Hex + Shadow Ball Gengar will perform a bit better though some of it comes down to how often the boss decides to use it's charge move which is largely luck.

Seeing as it's perfect and still usable vs Alakazam, you could power it up if you wanted to use something different.
