Is it worth to evolve Houndour?

My level is 17. Houndour CP 670. IV 82%. It should get CP something around 1600 CP and that´s really high value compared to my other pokemons. Worth or not and Is it usable on Gym batlles or raids?

Might as well evolve it if it will be your best pokemon (and if you have plenty of extra houndoor candies), but wouldn't be worth powering up. Houndoom is a good pokemon but outclassed for both its typings.
But if you really like him, do what u want :)

My best rn is Vaporeon 1150 CP so it will be really great boost and I don´t plan to powering it up, but Thank you for answer

Since you're basically just starting and there's a bunch of houndour candy around, go for it for a "now" attacker. Not worth putting stardust into though after it's evolved.

I'd say evolve it. Can't tell you how many people I would run into at Mewtwo raids using the wrong Pokemon. You would outperform the lvl 40 at a Deoxys raid using Gyarados

Okay thanks for advice, I will try to learn the basics of raids but in my city there are less than 20 ppl playing it so it will be hard to find players for Legendary pokemon raids with high CP :D
