Is it rational to walk Exeggutor?

Right now in light of my 100% Chansey hatch I'm walking chansey (now 8 candies away) to make a Blissey.

However, I also have a legacy palm tree dude with Confusion/Solar Beam that I really want to use. He's at level 23 now, 91, IV. Is it rational to forego the blissey and walk the palm tree lol?

I really want to use it the blast into those water types while also coupling as a blissey/snorlax counter (!). I actually have plenty of grass to take care of water types (Two lv30 venusaur with solar beam, another palm tree but with seed bomb, level 30 vileplume) but I really want to witness what nuke of a move does solar beam exeguttor bestow upon the enemy.

What do you guys think? I'll catch enough eggsecute along the way so I shouldn't swap my chansey buddy or should I swap anyway?

i would stick with chansey. Tts way easier to get candies for exeggutor. I would try to max out the blissey as fast as possible

Wait until Easter, maybe will have something related to egg.
Then of course will not be rationale to walk him, but why should that stop you? It is rationale that we spent time on a pogo forum? Yet we do it :) couse we enjoy it a lot.

Go for Blissey. Shift to Eggs after you evolve her if you want. What level is your Chansey?

Level 20, from an egg hatch, so actually will take quite some effort to raise to level 30+ too.

Now I think about it, I will continue powering it up if it evolves to Pound/HB, Pound/DG or ZH/DG. First two for attack and the last one for defense. If it's not one of those 3 then I might just swap and walk the egg man (or do you guys think I should still max blissey, given that it is a 100 chansey after all)

Oh right, sorry I missed the "hatch" part..

It seems like Exeggcutes are universally more common than Chanseys, so I just can't see walking one over walking a Chansey.

But, yeah Solar Beam is the bomb. (I just wish I could get it on a Venusaur one of these times.. Sludge Bomb is getting tiresome.)

Max if you get DG or HB will be a monster with either quick move.

Is Exeggcute that rare for you? I would never even consider using that as a buddy. IMO, the only worthwhile buddies are Chansey, Snorlax, Larvitar, and Dratini (as well as rare pokedex-fillers such as Mareep, Porygon, Grimer if you don't have their evolutions)

I've caught more Snorlax than Exeggcute :-) Super rare here.

It's almost universally a bad idea to walk anything that could potentially show up in a nest. Only exception I can think of is if you're close to evolving something for the dex, and don't want to wait.

All I will say is I think most of us made a decision like this in the past and regretted it later when we did not walk the more valuable/rare mon. But you understand your needs or wants better than ours so just do what makes you happy. This game is for fun.

Hey.... I walked a Pikachu to get 6 candy for my first Raichu.... Totally worthless except for the Dex entry. So weeks later, there's a Pikachu event and the little geeks are everywhere.

One of the best things that PoGo can teach people is patience.

You will catch and hatch more Exeggcutes relatively easily.
You will NOT catch and hatch more Chanseys easily at all.

You do not need the killer Exeggutor now, so walk the Chansey and be patient with collecting Exeggcute candy.

Eggs is in a 2K egg, just hatched another one last night - uncommon, but not super-rare. I'm walking my Chancey, I'll eventually get lots of Eggy candy through hatching, and those 2K eggs go pretty fast.
