Iron tail ttar effective during winter?

I’ve been tm’ing fast moves on t’tar thinking bite might become legacy but am thinking of saving iron tail on my newest acquisition that has SE charge move. If steel becomes 20% more effective during snow will this make up for otherwise poor performance. I’m now wondering if iron tail might be something worth keeping and could also become legacy. Any thoughts?

Does it snow where you live?

I'm finally seriously considering powering up Moltres or Entei because of this announcement. Most of the time, clear skies will be boosting grass, ground, and fire attacks.

Doesn’t snow very often. Fire will probably become more relevant for my biome but just want to cover a possible useful legacy based on the new weather mechanism.

I have never seen snow....and it is very rare that we get fog

It seems that our local climate may actually dictate what becomes more useful, and what becomes even more useless.

Agreed. The other good thing is that players in a region dominated by one weather type (say snow in Norway) will get more of that type, and better rewards for catching them. So if you run into a player from Norway, watch out for their ice and steel, whereas a desert player will have good fire and ground.

Some other questions - what weather types are good for Normal, Fighting, Fairy, Rock, and Poison? Is that what Partly Cloudy and Overcast are for? Or do those types not get these bonuses, making them somewhat less useful? Does anyone get penalized by the weather, or is it just bonuses? Any effects on defense - do water mon defend better (not attack) in the rain?

But on balance, unless you live in Seattle, or someplace else where rain is a regular thing, Ground, Fire, and Grass mon will profit the most from this, because most days are clear in most places.

...and the there is the tropics, where it rains 2/3 days.
