Ingress vs PoGo UI

I gave Ingress a whirl today and wow, it's astounding how much remote information and mapping you can access and how smooth it all is to retrieve. It's almost like the game respects me.

Compare that to Pokemon Go's insulting ''uh well you can berry check a gym, but your defender will probably be dead before you get home so f@ck you'' system. Why are we still stuck with this?

One guess, server saturation. I suspect there are at least 10x as many PoGO players as Ingress players. Would love to see the numbers.

Right. 30x or 100x wouldn't surprise me. While playing both games, I've met hundreds of PoGO players, and two Ingress players (one of whom I met through playing PoGO).

If it's server saturation, I expect Niantic sets a "tolerable" level for server to player ratio, and stays under it. For Ingress, they probably aren't even close to that "tolerable" level, so the game has great performance. Again, just a hypothesis, but it seems plausible.
