Increased difficulty in catching Event Pokemon?

Has anyone else noticed a large increase in the difficulty to catch Event Pokémon in the past 2 days? I've found that catching any of the Event Pokémon (particularly Shuppet, Duskull, Sableye and Houndour/Houndoom) are taking 3x as many balls and often requiring a Razzberry to catch for even the lower level Mons, even with hitting them with Great throws and Curveballs. (I spent the first 5 or so days of the event figuring out how to hit them reliably with Curveballs and I'm pretty accurate now... except for Duskulls. Can't quite figure out how to get the curveball to hit the edge of the screen on purpose yet.)

But since Halloween, it seems like everything is jumping out of the first 2 balls regardless of what I hit it with. Even got a few Excellents with Curveballs on Shuppets - which they promptly jumped out of.

Pidgeys, Spinaraks, even Weedles aren't giving me any trouble at all. No non-event Pokémon is giving me any unusual trouble. (Drowzee's may or may not be, I've seem to run into only CP 18 or lower Drowzee's in the past 2 days. And Muck Furkrows.) Anyone else noticing this, or is this just the game randomly being a dick to me?

Haven't noticed it with the event pokemon. Incense Pokemon move around like crazy and jump WAY more than any others.

I haven't noticed things breaking out more often, but it did seem like everything started dodging more often maybe a month ago. Practically half of what I try to catch takes four or five throws just to hit once lately, with the constant attacking and moving out of the way.

I have stopped throwing balls at Sableye, Duskull and Shuppet because i'm too low on balls because of this event. I just click on them to see if they are shiny and then let them go now. Their break free rates were already annoyingly high.

Duskull is a dick. It will always move left or right just as you throw your ball. It's definitely a bit more evil than gen1/2 pokemon from my experience. Plus, his other non-attack animation is him laughing at you as you waste ball after ball.

My biggest pet peeve has been catching anything that requires two hands. It's been rainy here for the past week and it's frustrating to have to balance the umbrella on my shoulder while trying to 2-hand catch Shuppet (I can hit him with one hand but i'm more likely to miss and waste balls), and of course Zubat; F that.

Weirdly, Zubat's seem to be almost impossible NOT to catch if I hit it. (I've also seen less Zubats than I've seen Houndooms in this event to the point where I totally forgot they were part of this event when I made my first post.)

I've been using Nanab berries just because I've had like 40 of them and I need the room in my bag, and even if I completely miss even a Nice throw, as long as it's in the Pokeball, I'm catching the Zubat.

Dusky can be captured if you let him slide toward the center. Yeah, you have to wait a while, but i always wait for any mon to go to center before throwing. Zubats and all the bat family are awful at standing still though.

I've hoarded so much Shuppet candy I can make a hat out of them.
