If you had the opportunity to change your Pokemon nickname, would you?

No because my nickname is already notorious in my city.

I doubt we will get that option, but even if Niantic allowed us to change it once, I most likely wouldn't.

I like the name I have and the people I play with know who it is (though I learned today that some just call me "that guy with a beard").

But there's probably players who picked a silly name when they started because they didn't think they would play much, but are now hardcore players stuck with "Might Penis 1" or something. Maybe they'll want to change it to something better ;)

If Niantic did let us do this, it should be as a reward to reach certain goals. Maybe let those who manage to reach lvl 40 get that rare option or something.
It might add too much work if everyone got to do it.

Reportedly you can email customer support and ask for another rename. Takes a few weeks, then when you login it will automatically prompt you to select a new name.

What I and a lot of players want though is to be able to change PTC login to a google login.

I wouldn't. The name I initially wanted when the game launched wasn't available but at this point everyone knows my game name so changing it would just throw everyone off.

I'm pretty happy with my current one, I use it everywhere anyway. Probably only if I wanted to run away from something, but otherwise I stay Detonatress, since no one else uses it anywhere I've had to register.

But for other people, I guess they might want it since there are some who may regret a nick change.
