You cant give in...thats why. you become just as bad as them.

Think about that mindset...they cheat, so I may aswell too.

Then you think about maybe they thought that same way...

then whats stopping the entire player base from just cheating...completely de-valuing any sort of rare pokemon and making the entire game meaningless and unsatisfying.

Basically...
Go out and earn a Tyranintar by grinding for hours, walking with buddy, and getting some lucky hatches. And you will love it 100 times more than if you just teleported and caught it.

It's really sad dude, i get your point.But if you surrender, you'll probably lose your will to play, the game gets boring when you cheat.

Bascially, Play for yourself...not anyone else.

What matters are your reasons for playing ?

weight loss and exercise ?
play with friends ?
Earn your pokemon and get a rare/valuable collection ?

unless its just to show off ? how would spoofing make sense ?

If not, play legit, their fake 3000 cp Tyranitars makes no difference to your game goals, ignore the filthy cheaters who would have nothing of value without spoofing.

Sure its unfair in terms of the gym scene...but you can still beat them.

Well, first, you will deserve to get banned, is no fun at all spoof.

The satisfaction of having walked so many miles to get candy, or when eggs hatch and appears a Dratini or Larvitar (or those you want).

When you see in the wild those rare mons and you just go for them, thats the best of this game.

makes no sense to me, to do it just because they do it.
two weeks ago, when my hometown was full of a spoofer putting tyranitars everywhere, i didnt fight for two or three days. after that time he was gone. me and some others reported him, but i dont think he got banned (if he got banned) because of our reports.

i feel your depression, but no reason to start spoofing. and i know how long collecting items can take. but just try searching some relatively safe gyms and only fight a little bit everyday?

We have a huge problem with spoofers in Moscow.
Specially in Winter, when we have about -20 outside, so my phone lives about 20-30 minutes when playing (and it seems I killed my battery already). Imagine you were powering up a 5-6lvl gym, you did it finally, placed your loved mon, and few minutes later all the gym is down. And you see NOBODY near it. Few minutes later (less that it took to a real player to walk there) the next gym is again down.
You walk in the cold Moscow by your own feet those 10km eggs to get another Smoochum or Magby (worthless, as I got a nest of Jynx, Magmar and Electabuzz near my house), and others get Lapras or Snorlax without even getting out of their houses.
And this really can lead (theoritically) to a crime, if a fair angry player meets a cheater...

Can't add much to the above, just this: Please report these cheaters to Niantic! With names like these, what other proof do they need?

If I'm ever tempted to sink to their level I will know it's time to quit.

If you join them, you are just as bad if not worse than them because you know how it feels. To cheat yourself, regardless of reasons, would be creating the very same feelings with other legitimate players which would then make you not only a dirty rotten cheater, but a hypocrite too.

I myself have become discouraged with the game because of GPS spoofers. I genuinely know your feeling because I have invested a lot of time, effort and money in the game and it's being ruined by these cheaters.

Lets put a little bit of hope and faith in Niantic that they will resolve the problem... but if they don't, in time they won't have many legitimate players left (including my daughter and I who are close to quitting) and the game will fall.

I gave up that. Walking on a saturday for 3 hours to collect 6-8 gyms and get all your effort torn apart by a spoofer in 5 min. During winter I'm collecting 2-5 gyms that are closer to my normal routes in town. I'm not saying that with the good weather I won't go back to these remote gyms that I know are controlled by spoofers and will take them down just to make a statement. To let them know that if I'm willing they won't stay there forever. But obviously the amount of effort that you have to put into that is not worthwhile most of the time. So, I would recommend you not to join the scum and enjoy beating them instead, when the time is right.

I don't think you can solved your problem by spoofing to fight he/she/it that taking your gyms. It gonna be a long and useless fight until someone bored. I suggest you to get the gym somewhere out of this his/her/its territory. In my area there is also a spoofer with the same name with 10+ accounts trying to do the same but we have local mystic that outnumber this spoofer so after 3 days of useless fight this spoofer just gone.

But I don't say using spoofing to take revenge is not what you shouldn't do.

When i stop playing this game with my main account.
I will just create new account only for spoofing and get my revenge.

I can do this home alone and nobody will ever even know who this "new spoofer is".

Spoof dude, I created a whatsapp group to report cheaters and reported 5 spoofers everyday for a month together, there were like 8 of us, guess what, they're still there, this is Niantic's problem to resolve unless they do something systematic to keep everyone from spoofing (rather than banning spoofers) you shouldn't waste your time battling with sticks and stones while they have guns and bazookas. Do what I do work together with people who spoof and don't spoof to build stronger gyms, don't make it your purpose to just place above others in gyms, make stronger gyms make spoofers waste as much time as you can.

I fought the good fight for a LONG while, I built gyms legitimately only to be fought while doing it by somebody who wasn't there and see my gyms fall while getting home, it's practically unplayable now, at least on my city, I think the ratio of mystic players spoofing is way higher than that 20% of all players average, I have not seem them building gyms at the spot for a long while and they dominate all areas

I don't play computer/console/app games at all except for PoGo because to me the game is about getting outside and walking around.
At some point if the spoofers take all the gyms, then I'll still take walks and catch mons. The spoofers can't stop me from walking around and catching mons.

My reason for not spoofing...self respect.

That is far more important than 10 pokecoins and some stardust.
