If thanks to PoGO are you interested in console core-game?

As above. After start playing PoGO do you buy a one of Pokemon RPG games on 2DS/ 3DS or other console? Or maybe are you thinking about buying game?
Maybe I'll start; somehow ok 2 months ago i buy... Pokken Tournament DX on Nintendo Switch. I decided to buy this game for three reasons:
1. I wanted a good online-battle game.
2. What is the nintendo console without any pokemon game (even in this form)?
3. Alternative for PvP in PoGO. Switch is hybrid console, so you can take it anywhere. And for playing Pokken with two you don't need another controller (one Joy-con per player). Really, it is very fun to battle with some friend before a raid when waiting for someone. And you can use two wariants of Mewtwo...

I had never played any Pokémon game until PoGo. Since, I’ve played through both Sun and Moon and am now playing Ultra Moon. I also am interested in Pokken Tournament as soon as I get a Switch.

Good to hear some people are trying the main series games because of pogo. They're really good games and playing them is the best way to learn about newer pokemon and help you prepare for future generations in pogo

PoGo definitely helped rekindle my interest in the franchise. I first got into it around the turn of the century, starting with the TCG and anime then a little bit later actually playing the Gen 1 gameboy games. Kept up with the series until Gen 5, after which I lost interest for no specific reason.

After PoGo, I'm looking at replaying the games I've missed, although it would require the purchase of a 3DS/2DS. Also slowly working my way through the anime.

I have beaten Red, and am halfway through Blue, on an emulator. Would prefer to play each generation in order (with remakes regarded as same generation as the originals). Never owned a Nintendo console, but would buy one if it could run virtually all the main series games or at least one pair per generation. 3DS has R/B/Y and G/S (through Virtual Console) but not their remakes, then ORAS but not the originals, plus not a single Gen IV or Gen V game. Any advice?

I understand that the 3DS family can also run the older DS games, which means it can handle Gen IV and V as well.

I played and collected the Cards in Middle school from 99 to 02 and stoppped when I went into Highschool. Mostly because I didn't like the new pokemon being introduced. The only video game with a pokemon I played was Pikachu on Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo 64 if that counts. If not Pogo is the only Pokemon Video Game I played being able to catch wild pokemon in my environment is more fun than just sitting on the couch.
