Idle Musings: If Pokemon could learn an extra move

One of my wish lists for a level cap increase would be something new. Rather than simple CP increases. One idea I had would be a 3rd Quick, or 4th Charged Move for the pool for Level 41-45 Pokemon.

What are some pokemon that you would like to see a move added to thier pools. I'd add Community Day moves as the new move where possible

* = Added as a Defensive Move X = Added offensive

PS: I am doing these off the top of my head and not necessarily by moves they learn in games.

Salemance: Twister*
Machamp: Karate Chop
Blissey/Snorlax/Chansey: Body Slam
Rayq: Hurricane

Anyway you get the idea, whats a pokemon and a move you would add for 41-45 that would make it worth powering up for a Niche use even if the stats didn't increase.

I have been toying with this idea for a little while and what i have dreamed up differs from your desire slightly.

The third move will bes seperate from the existing two. It will not influence energy and have its own timer for use. I have not decided if every move will have a unique timer or the cooldown will ve universal.

These new moves will not do damage. Each pokemon will gain one stat (boosting or hindering) or status affliction move. By incorporating moves like WilloTheWisp, Dragon Dance, Tail Whip, Toxic, and so on, i believe would be a step in tge right direction for revamping the current combat system.

I think you misread it. This is just about adding more moves to the pool, like Mewtwo and Mew have more moves in the pool. It gets old that each pokemon can only have 2 fast moves and 3 charge moves. Many gen1 have had the same 5 moves since launch.

Niantic could at least shake up the moves more often giving us more options.

Another dream I often see people asking is being able to have two charge moves on a pokemon. The idea I like is starting with one charge move and unlocking a second through some means like buddy distance or battles won. This would allow for flexible movesets like Tyranitar with Bite/Crunch&Stone Edge, Dragonite with Dragon Tail/Outrage&Hurricane, Machamp with Counter/Dynamic Punch&Heavy Slam, etc.

Tying this unlocked second move slot with an unlocked special move in the pokemon's move pool could work well together to maintain the randomness of charge TMs.

I would love this addition, though it will hurt on TMs. I think if they added this in addition to TMs not repeating moves before cycling through all of them it would work well.
