Ice Attackers: Jynx = 3.5/5?

If Jynx is a 3.5/5, it seems like Cloyster and Walrein should at least be a 3/5 instead of 2.5/5. Yes, Jynx has higher DPS, but it is a complete glass cannon. Jynx just barely trails Articuno which was rated a 4/5.

I suspect that many will turn to the attacker ratings soon as we near the anticipated release of Rayquaza. Given the comment below on the best attackers by type list, I would have expected the ratings in this group to be much closer.

"Ice-types are the most balanced in Pokemon GO, all the above having trade offs in DPS and TDO."

Personally, I would never invest in Jynx given the availability of weather boosted Spheals and the fragile nature of Jynx. I do appreciate the slight increase in rating for Piloswine at 3/5, which makes for a much better investment IMHO.

I think either Jynx should be dropped to 3/5 or Walrein/Cloyster bumped to 3/5 to close what appears to be a large gap.

You can easily catch a 2k Jynx if you are in a biome with frequent Jynx spawns so you don't need to power one.

The fact that Jynx is a glass cannon shouldn't really matter because the DPS gain and best moveset is significant (compared to the other ice types) to warrant more deaths. The only problem is potion use.

Personally I agree with the site and conclude it doesn't really matter which one of the 4 types you use after Articuno as long as they are 2000CP plus (maybe except piloswine because it doesn't really get there for the wild ones).

Bottom line you shouldn't use the ratings as a clear cut conclusion of their viability.

I agree with Lecafe88's bottom line. And I think most people will look at counter graphics or GP's raid guide, which will give a much more accurate picture than the individual pokemon ratings.

You can duo a Rayquaza with armies of Jynxes.
