I underestimated Azumarill

Yes, I think it lets people think it is easy, imo it is even harder than Ninetales. Ice Beam has the grass coverage. Play Rough has STAB and is even with 2 bars. Hydro Pump deals much damage and hits the fastest. Bubble and Rock Smash are good defensive moves. Today, I faced a Bubble/HP one. Pokebattler says I might be able to (level 35 VW/SoB) Venusaur 1v1 Azumarill with rejoining.

But, in reality, it is hard. Hydro Pump can hit as early as just before the first Solar Beam lands. I tried three times and gave up, I didn't want to burn through my max revives. I also tested my unique 6 team, they were lower level, far from victory, Muk was the MVP, poorly it doesn't resist that Azumarill's moveset.

In the end lol, I had to use my highest level Venusaurs (35 and 30) to clear this thing out, also added 3 high level Roselias, and a Rayquaza (hey why are you here this is Azumarill, oh it had water moves lmao).

I don't think not being able to do it with one attacker or a team of low level uniques makes it ok to compare it to Ninetales which had only been done by 1 person before gen 3 gave us WF Gyarados.

I was looking at sims in hopes of 1-v-1 soloing it and it definitely does not look easy. Depending on moveset there are a few mons that could pull it off if they're maxed.

What? I beat it fairly easily and the thing was weather boosted. I never could do 9 tails.

that's what I am saying... I did it against a weather boosted boss also. it was fairly easy, and I could never do a 9 tails.

No, I did Ninetales on a rainy day, I did the Azumarill on a partly cloudy day.

Azumarill and Piloswine are not difficult to solo unless you are below level 25 or just tooling around.

Piloswine also annoyed me and phantom charges were terrible.

I did it with two Exeggutor. It's not difficult.

... yeah nah that's an absurd assertion. For starters, you're using Roselia's? There's your first mistake. If you have a level 35 Venusaur then I'm sure you have an Exeggutor with SB at a high level or a few strong electric types. It's uncontroversially one of the easiest L3 raids available. And sure its charge moves seem impressive on defense but it has an atk stat of 112 lol. Chuck some better counters in your line up and you'll have no trouble.

Yeah I think so, but my Roselias performed fairly good imo, at least Sludge Bombs are pretty much spamable after tanking one HP.

Maybe its the pokemon that you used or the fact that you hit with a few too many Hydro Pumps, but Azumaril at least to me is nowhere near the difficulty level of Ninetales. I beat it with a level 30 Raikou TS/WC, Exeggutor level 38 E/Solar Beam, Exeggutor level 31.5 ZH/Seed Bomb. Wild Charge did a lot of damage & I managed to hit Azumaril with 3 Solar Beams before fainting. If you dodge more or bring better counters, you'll have a much easier time.

Hydro Pump is already a pain for dodging lol, especially with the lags in raids.

Took me a while until I've figured a team of Gengar (H/SlB) lvl 20, Exeggutor lvl 35 (E/SoB), Jolteon lvl 35 (VS/D), Venusaur lvl 20 (VW,PB) and Dragonite lvl 35 (DT/Hu) can work too since I don't have 2 or more of any of these. The Azumarill had RS/Ice Beam.

I only had 17s left against B/IB using this team. All are Lv 30+
