I still believe Niantic is giving out more Christmas presents than mentioned

A week ago, three lapras' were hatched in a row. Today, I caught a L30 dragonite CP2938 SW/DP albeit it costs 45 ultra balls, 25 great balls and a whole bunch of razzberries.

I can't disagree with you. On the first day the Santa-hat Pikachus were available, I went out to try to catch one, and I ended up catching two wild Laprases within 15 minutes of each other. They were only the 2nd and 3rd wild Laprases I've ever seen, and one of them was level 30, CP 2453, 77% IV's, IS/B, so it became an immediate impact player on my A-team.

Idk. I live in Greece and didn't see any crazy spawns.

I am in So Cal (Santa Monica and Santa Clarita) and I have not seen one wild Lapras, Dragonite, or Snorlax. And I am in areas that are constantly riddled with lures and Pokemon, so you'd think percentage wise something would have popped up like this plus some here.

So idk, but shoot, regardless kudos on your luck!

In SoCal. Haven't seen any unusual spawns yet. Hatched a few 10k eggs to hopefully have better odds of something good before those babies start increasing. Got an onix, 2 jynx and a magmar

Since the Santa Pikachu became available I've encountered one Lapras in the wild (never have before), saw one Snorlax on nearby and caught another one just today. (Only ever saw one before, months ago.) So there might be something to this. (Europe here.)

A couple of days within the initial part of the holiday event, my friend caught a snorlax and saw another on the nearby 10 minutes later. HOPEFULLY the spawns are higher and will eventually pan out favorably for other players ^.^

Since the start of the game, I have caught (not hatched) 4 Snorlaxes, 2 Dragonites, 3 Laprases, and 1 (CP45) Gyarados.

I think it`s the luck of the draw and the new tracker, combined with longer spawns. I have played A LOT but had never hatched a Chansey or a Snorlax. I hatched both within a week last week. But, to me, this is just probabilities catching up, not Niantic giving me a gift...

If you play long enough, probabilities eventually even out. And with the new tracker, even though it has its drawbacks, once you see something on the radar, it is really easy to get it, no more wandering aimlessly.

And the reason I say this is because I have 5 other friends who play and they have not experienced this at all. They keep asking me what my trick is :) For a while, I was behind them in my rare hatches and wild catches but now I am all caught up!

Noticed nothing special besides an increased number in spawns, but rares are still as rare as ever for me, same for eggs. Never seen a wild Lapras or even hatched one. :(
