I simply cannot believe Niantic trolled me THIS hard.

So just now, I was doing Feebas tasks, and once I opened my first one, I was (almost) literally screaming all over the place. The Feebas had CP117, the CP that a hundo would have. So I caught it. It had 51 HP, also same as a hundo would have. And then, the appraisal showed that it was only a fake hundo. It actually only had 15A/15D/14S, and apparently 14S and 15S give the same HP.
Of course I'm not whining about this. I'm definitely happy that I got a 98iv Feebas. I just wanted to ask if anyone had the same experience as me.

This is either a weird flex or you ARE whining. You just got a 98 IV Feebas. Gratz.

Happened to me and my friend.

Niantic really trolled me, harder than you. I got the same 117 feebas today, and 5 mins before the end of the feebas event, my game started crashing, I couldn't login in my phone or in my wife's phone, for a straight 15 minutes. I was right at 3 pokestop about the get 2 to 3 new researches.

It isn't that I expect a shiny or two in those researches, but getting stopped by the game from playing when you planned ahead what to do next.

A friend in my group caught two cp117 freebas during the event today. One was 100%, the other 98%. I believe it’s because of rounding in the cp formula.

I don't understand why you feel trolled at all... So it got rounded up, what's the problem? I got a few like this as well but I already knew it could happen because I've been hunting feebas from research tasks for months

Not sure I would call it trolled but yes I saw that. I got a perfect one with 117 and so did another person in my group chat. And then a third person also got a 117 but it turned out to be 98 and not 100%

Yeah, Feebas and Magikarp have always been like that, both from research and from hatches. Too bad you had to find out this way, I got 2 or 3 fake hundo Karps from research before scoring my first perfect.

My luck has been so miserable lately that I was tempted to skip the event. But that wasn't happening, and with 90 minutes left, I scored 2 shinies and a real 100%. My faith in RNG has improved.

Overall, your Magikarp is a wonder! What a breathtaking Pokemon!
I see that its best attribute is its HP.
It is matched equally by its Attack.
It is matched equally by its Defense.
I am certainly impressed by its stats, I must say.
