I miss the 5k dust a day

I'd rather get rewarded 5k dust than a tyranitar at this point. Niantic has to find a way to make it easier to get dust I've grinded my ass off for the past couple days and I'm gettin tired of catching everything I see.

Hmmm where have I heard this before? Oh yeah, this site. Every day.

Maybe they will have stardust in the shop soon...

Since 200 pokeballs = 800 coins, maybe 5000 dust = 500 coins. Pretty cheap heheh.

I had an a-ha! moment yesterday. (And I know I'm likely not the first to think or even say it here.)

I was reading a thread where folks were talking about all of the big city/low level players who now have an army of Tyranitars, but none of them are very useful being stuck at level 20 and no stardust to power them up. What if that was on purpose? Maybe Niantic did think through the ramifications of all of these players getting a boat load of these and realized that they needed to make stardust even more of a grind to force these people to 'earn' them?

It still sucks for suburban/rural players (like me), who can't do the level four raids AND can't get stardust like before.

I wouldn't give them that much credit. What it did was take away the pleasure of powering up a Pokemon for fun.

Yeah, it probably is giving them too much credit.

Candy is seriously devalued, but seems they could at least have:
1) 2Xbuddy walking distance right now.
2) Hatch eggs at double stardust
3) Double catch XP bonus
Feel free to add other bones to longtime players not in a huge city

For example, I have a fully maxed out Wigglytuff, (Pound / Play Rough) who was great fun in the previous set-up. But now with the reduced access to stardust, I am not sure that I can afford to keep powering her up as stardust is required for elite attackers now.

Yeah, trying to catch every Sentret, Natu, etc. is getting old fast. I feel I have to do it, but it isn't fun at all. And then I have to spend a lot of time mindlessly spinning pokestops to replace the balls I use.

I sure miss that Christmas event, when they gave us double stardust plus a free one-use incubator every day.

Have you considered purchasing a Go Plus? It makes the grind bearable and allows you to spin stops while driving under 30 mph.

That's something to consider. I'd still have the problem of continually running low/out of pokeballs, and I'd still have to make special trips to areas with a lot of pokestops just to refill my bag periodically (like, daily). But thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, this game is called "Pokemon Go". So go out and grind, you will collect some dust.

The game is not called Pokemon Sit, those who used to sit in Gyms and earn "their" daily stardust do not get it anymore - great.

This game is not called Pokemon drive, those who used to drive from one gym to another, now drive from one raid to another will run out of dust now.

It is really funny to meet people at my level with 1/3rd of walking streak - they will have to change their habit, or live with mediocrate pokemon.

The answer is so simple - back to the roots, walk!
If you have money to spend, buy a Plus first, and buy some incubators. Raids give a lot, but they give no dust. :-)
