I'm showing 0/143 hp on a Pokémon. What does that mean

It means the Pokémon has fainted, you will need a revive or max revive before it can battle again.

Its ripped lol?

Aka fainted. And needs reviving with an item. Are you new to pokemon?

I would also assume its a pokemon you had defending a gym?

Either that or you used it in a gym battle till it fainted, but it would be obvious to you why it has 0hp if you did/saw this surly?

When a defender is knocked out of a gym by a rival player, its returned to your inventory in a fainted state/with no hp
