I just hatched my 1st Snorlax.

I'm level 25 and I couldn't believe it but today finally happened, now l wonder whether l should power it up or not. And I'd appreciate your help because I don't know what to do.

CP: 1729 | IV: 74,4% | Moveset: Lick + Hiper Beam | Candies: 32

Pd: consider that it's the 1st one that I've hatched since l started playing this game..

It looks good.

I couldn't find a 74.4% possibility, but let's assume it's 75.6% 15/5/14 IVs.

With 32 candies, you could power it up to level 25.5, putting it at 2205 CP. (Obviously I don't have the right IV values, but you'll be in the ballpark, lower if the Attack isn't 14 or 15 though).

This Snorlax has a great attacking moveset. Lick isn't nearly as good as Zen Headbutt on defense, but is still perfectly viable. So the questions you need to ask yourself are:
1) Do you have a top tier defender? Anything 2100+ CP that you can put in gyms? If not, then this is probably a huge upgrade to your gym-holding ability.
2) Do you have viable attackers? If you already have good defenders, this Snorlax is a great attacker. He'll do well against Lapras/Slowbro for example if you don't have a counter already.
3) It's the first Snorlax you've hatched. What about caught? How often do Snorlax spawn in your area? If you think it's reasonably likely you'll catch a better one you can try to wait.
4) How much do you care about the end game? You're going to use ALL of your candies to get it to 25.5, which is still a long ways off of 30 or 40. And it gets more expensive as you go. If you really plan to level up to 30+ and want pokemon that strong, you'll need to hold on to your candies and catch a level 28+ Snorlax later on. Even then you won't have enough, so if Snorlax isn't spawning a lot for you you'll probably never have a top-tier Snorlax end game. Which basically means have fun now, train this one up and at least have a top-tier Snorlax for your current game-state.

You couldn't find the exactly lV because it took the average [73 - 75,6] :)
And definitely l need one for attacking and this one has good moves for attacking so yeah it's fine. But my dilema comes when l like to power up just pokemon above 85-90% and to be honest l expected a little more of IV but l can’t complain because I know the most of the players don't have one yet and it's going to be a good attacker.
Thank you so much for your advice you definitely helped me to take a decision.

Im level 32 and i have got 3 (2 egg & 1 lure)
Seen one in wild but didnt find. (i dont use cheat sites)
Total 300 eggs hatched, not sure how many 10km.
Then i have found 1x 2402cp dragonite from wild and for the laughs, it is only one seen in wild by me hahaha.
Then i got low cp dragonite from lure.

For my other account (level 24) i have got lapras from egg, but only hatched less than 100 eggs, so not many 10km eggs.
Its so damn random, even you can be so lucky or rlly unlucky.

If it is your first Snorlax i would be happy about it.
I wouldnt personally like hyper beam.
But mine dragonite have "bad" moveset but i still love it.

I'd be powering it up as and when you've got spare dust. It'll be a decent attacker and defender as is. I'd probably just power it up instead of using a revive as and when is needed.

I hatched my one and only Snorlax at level 27 and never seen one in the wild.

Definitely they are really difficult to find in the wild and I'm sure that it's not going to be really soon when l find one with better IV's

I think you answered your own question when you wrote it's the first one you've got at level 25. You wanna risk waiting that long again?

You just hatched the best Pokemon you've ever got, power it. No need to second guess it.

You're right, it will be a long time until l get my next one and who knows if it will have a "good" moveset for attacking (what l need) as well..

DONT POWER UP.
YOU ONLY HAVE 32 CANDIES ANYWAYS. IT WONT MAKE A STRONG SNORLAX. WAIT TO HAVE 100 CANDIES AND POWER UP THE BEST SNORLAX YOU HAVE AT THAT TIME

Dont power it up. Snorlax candies are so rare and you will catch/hatch a better one till level 30. Still farming candies for now, you can easily beat a 2200+ snorlax dodging without power him up.
