I am not worthy to be a trainer

I failed at soloing an Arcanine even being lv35 with good counters. It was close though, I should've used rhydons/golem instead of vaporeons/golem against it especially with snarl/wild charge.

Yeah Rhydon/Golem is definitely the way to go.

Don't feel bad. I had the most aggravating moment in my entire POGO experience today. Even with two lv27 BS/SoB eggs, and a VW/SoB Venusaur I failed to solo a Vape. The first time I flubbed a dodge. The second and third time the game was so laggy there was no animation to dodge (he had WP). I just gave up. The dodge bug was costing me a ton of seconds every fight or I would have won them all. Kept losing by about a second but spent what felt like half the fight watching my characters flip from one to the other uncontrollably. I was so mad I vowed to quit this game in an expletive laced rant....then won a different raid on the way home.

I've tried to stop tapping when a pokémon faints, it looks like it may help avoiding that uncontrollable monster swap. Probably doesn't work with the dodge glitch though.

Oh! Had my pogo+ set on catch on my way home. I felt a "did not catch buzz" before seeing what it was on the phone screen to see the blue notification "snorlax ran away" :P

Is soloing it even possible tho? They might just have too many hps.

Considering twice it had invisible bar left and I had wasted unknown seconds doing no damage I'm going to go with definitely yes.

Yes, done an aqua tail one. Also failed on another aqua tail one for same reasons as you. But then heared about restarting the app after each battle. Works for me, no lag since then (iphone 7).

Hp is identical per boss level. So defence stat is the key on tankiness and this makes Vape one of the weakest level 3.

I've yet to attempt a solo 3 raid. My embarrassing moment came from failing to trio a Snorlax. I felt okay about it because there other two got killed and didn't have time to heal and return where I just clocked out. Later took one down with 5!

Failing to trio a Snorlax? Is it even possible to take it down with only 3? They would have to have some mighty strong mons.

Don't be too hard on yourself, boss.

Level 3 raids are tough shit solo. And it's not really your fault. That time limit just makes it impossible.

Yesterday I wasted 100 coins buying a raid pass and trying to solo a Flareon. A flareon! I thought in my mind, "I've got a million Vaporeons. How hard could soloing a Flareon possibly be?" Tried like 4 times, and each time I ran out while the Flareon had about 10% health left.

Ended up wasting a ton of potions and revives as well as 100 coins.

Point is, happens to the best of us and it doesn't make you a failure.

In my experience, the ONLY Level 3 I've managed to solo was Gengar, and that was with only like 3 seconds to spare and after about 4 unsuccessful tries.

I failed solo vaporeon, hp down to less than 1% on first try, then lag kick in. next 2 tries got worst. just solo machamp on first try today. make up for yesterday failure.

I failed to defeat a lvl 4 Lapras with 4 other people. I'm level 35 and thought I had good attackers. Don't want to blame the glitches and server lag....

But in a way, I'm glad they don't make the raids too easy.

Thst is very true though, rewards are so high, at least the bosses are tough in certain circumstances.

My very first raid was a failure. Vaporeon. That was when gym raids were introduced. No information yet on their strengths, etc. Having amassed quite a large number of Pokémon, I thought I can bring her down. Welp. Best I can manage was about 2 - 3 hits before she faints but the time limit, lags and glitches made it impossible.
