How would you rate the mix of legacy and current moves for dragonite?
From a practical use viewpoint, how would you rate these?
1. DT/DC
2. DT/DP
3. DB/O
4. DB/Hu
Answers
DT/DC is trash. DC is a low damage, short duration move for dodging. DT is too slow, I'll rather have SW/DC.
DT/DP is a little worse than DT/O, with 20 less damage for 0.3 less seconds duration. But I've a feeling that those people who TMed away DP for Outrage will regret it in the next move rebalance...
DB/O is a decent moveset. Outrage is like Crunch, with big damage but long duration.
DB/Hu is like B/SE Tyranitar. Very good combo.
I agree with previous replies but wanted to add that I really enjoy my DB/Hu Dragon. Those two moves work really well together.
At first I was really disappointed when the charge TM gave me Hu because, naturally, I thought I wanted O. (My Dragonite originally evolved with DB/HB.) But now I'm glad I got it.
- Not the best, but at least has dragon move synergy. If you are stuck with a DC variant without DB, this is your best option.
- Not the best, but at least has dragon move synergy. Would not touch DP as it is not that worse than outrage (faster cast time and cooldown)
- Dragon move synergy and tested to be the fastest takedown of Blissey out of all Dnite moves, a Level 30 DB/OR = Level 39 DB/DC by testing of Funkysho. Probably my pick out of all 4.
- Most practical from a battling perspective as DB/H are both 'fast' moves but lagging behind DB/DC for move synergy and dodgability and no raw DPS of DB/OR or DT/OR.
