How will I know when an ex raid is going to happen?

Just a basic question, I know. But I only just got my first one by chance, so I don't really know how these guys work. Hoping someone who has actually done an ex raid could help me out here. Thanks guys!

Click on the pass you got, it will say the place and time.

And time is in your current time zone. So if you got the pass while traveling in another time zone and are planning on traveling back for this, while planning your day, remember that the time will shift again when you cross back into the other time zone.
