How was everyone's Gengar day?

So, how was everyone's luck during gengar day?

Got this bad boy first raid (the 4 other people I was raiding with all got shinies from that first raid) and a max attack shiny on my third to last, cant wait for the lake trio and cresselia, got no EX gyms nearby so cant use it on Deoxys. In between raids hatched a great dratini and found a shiny pinsir.
With mass evolving junk gastly for trading, got 27 total lick gengar

Nice. Mass evolve any good gastly you had to get lick on them?

Got 2 93% gastlys at level 15, think I should evolve them? The event has 30 minutes left in my area.

I'd evolve those in a heartbeat. Lick's that good, I evolved my 2 12-13 attack luckies

You have up to an hour after the raids end to evolve and get Lick. Unless you don't have enough candy, go ahead and evolve them.

7 for 7 for me - no shiny's and nothing better than high 80's but it only took two ctms to get Shadowball on the best of the bunch (raids gave me FTMs rather than CTMs annoyingly). Plenty of Pinsir, but still looking for the shiny. Good meeting other players though - always best part of these days.

Terrible. 13 raids and not even a single 90+ IV. No shiny, no nothing. I was lucky that I had ONE good Gastly left that I didn't know about so I evolved it... but he's only 80% IV... it's way better than the Gengars that I got from the raids.

I feel ya.. I did 23 raids and no shiny or one above 90%. Had a few gastlys with great IV’s I evolved to get at least a good one but definitely not worth “the cost of admition” to do all those raids for not one stinking shiny or good one. Should’ve just done the 5 free ones (also, didn’t get my free daily raid pass for a 6th like the people I raided with did, which added insult to injury), evolved, and gone home... waste of 3 hours and 15 bucks...

Used only my free raid passes, and got one shiny, plus a 93%, out of five raid catches. Phone battery died during one raid, so I missed that one. Also evolved a 93% lucky L34 Gastly, which is now maxed at CP 2592. Used four of my five charge TM's on that one to get SB. Also got a shiny Pinsir, and a decent number of rare candy. Got four lick Gengars for my daughter's account as well, after my free passes were used up. Overall, a good harvest for 90 minutes of playing time.

Better than expected. I was 300 Km away from my raid group, so I (L40) had to rely on duo with my son (L31). We did 7 raids, 2 of them failed because of Shadow Ball, 4 of them we won (weather boosted Sludge Bomb and Focus Blast), and last one we joined a local group from which I got a 98%. No shinies any of us but it’s okay, I’m not that much a collector as a raider, and my boy just had fun in a different way than usual.

I did about five Gengar raids, but none of them were good or shiny. Nevertheless, I wasn’t crazy about it, since I already have this beast with me. =]

I’ll use both my best Lick Gengar and my old good SC Gengar on my next Giratina raid on Monday, can’t wait to experience the difference :)

It was a little painful because we duoed the Gengar, and it was tough but a good challenge indeed! No shinys but a 98% at least. Also, this little buddy that I've got a long time ago and I've evolved it today. I knew someday Niantic was going to do something with the Gastly evolution line and it happened!

I had a good day.

Usually I chase as many raids as I can, but for this day I decided to play in my own area and only do a few raids.
Still managed to do 11 of them, but could perhaps have done another 2-3, but in the end it was only me and another player left and we didn't want to try and duo it. Too bad because we had weather boost during the last hour.
Oh well.

Ended up with 2 shiny (one weather boosted). Not great IVs, but the weather boosted one was 89%.

Did get four none shiny above 90% though.
And I also evolved two Gastly and two Haunters, one of which was a lvl30 with 96% IV which became my strongest Genger at 2417CP (I had a 2400 with Shadow Claw before that).

I kinda regret throwing away some good IV Gastlys not long ago. Didn't think they would Shadow Claw or anything similar in quite some time.
Oh well.

Caught my fair share of Pinsir as well and got five shiny ones as well as a nice amount of candy. Currently sit at 915, so my goal is now to reach 1000 tomorrow.

Speaking of goals, I did accomplice some of my goals today:

* Reached another million XP (currently 42 m). It really helped that I got one new Best friend and two Ultra friends during the first raid. 410k XP in a few minutes (I started the lucky egg after the raid, so I missed out on another 10k). Got another Ultra friend later on.

* Reached 13 million Stardust.

* Reached 50k caught Pokemon.

* Caught two shiny Gengars (I usually have bad luck on "Raid days", so two in eleven is really good).

* Caught five shiny Pinsir (I didn't think I'd get that many, especially not on the first day).

Hopefully I'll reach 1000 Pinsir candy tomorrow.

How that many dust? I have 30 milion exp and 60 k catches, and 0 dust whole time and and maybe 25 maxed mons...

Rarely use Starpiece (usually save them for Stardust events), but I also rarely spend Stardust.
Occasionally I spend a bit to find out the exact IV on a Pokemon or, if the reward is good, on a research task.

Since I started to hoard Stardust I've only maxed out one Pokemon (a Mewtwo) and that was to celebrate the fact that I could finally do it as I'd reached lvl38.

I also powered up a few Pokemon at the time that I knew I had some use for (a Dragonite, couple of Machamps etc.).

But that's it. I don't even trade.

My Gengar day was great. Farmed till I evolved Ghastly to Haunter to a Gengar. Today 4th of November 2018 my Gengar is 1812 CP.

I was that guy today for Gengar day. Did 10 raids, 8 were shiny and i caught them all. During the way there i happen to find a shiny Pinsir as well. A very lucky day.

Give me my shiny! :(

I do 6 raids using free passes, doing it alone with 2 phone. My team mates not around on weekend, back to their hometown.

It is ok for me, i am not really into shinies anyway, and have a lot of gastly that become lick Gengar now.

7 raids... a 100% and 2 Gengar shiny.
Also, 4 Pinsir shiny and... a Plusle. XD

My account - 13 raids, 13 caught - no shinies, best IV was a 98 but I also got a couple of 93s.
I also did 6 raids for someone who couldn't come out. All 6 caught including one shiny. The shiny was only an 84 IV and that was actually the best IV of the 6.

Meh. Me and my friend did 36 raids combined without getting a single shiny not to mention that I didn't see a single one higher than 91%. Thankfully, I got a 100% Gastly from a quest a while back that I was able to evolve and max out.
