I've heard that the gen2 will be around sooner or later. Are there gen1 Pokemon that evole into gen2 ones? Or in other words, are there candies and Pokemon worth stacking up before gen2 arrives?
Someone here mentioned Golbat, but are there more cases like this?
Dunno what will happen with Slowpoke and Slowking, but there's at least Pokemons like Eevee, evolve to Espeon and Umbreon, Porygon evolve to Porygon2, Onix evolve into Steelix, Scyther evolve to Scizor, Chansey evolve to Blissey. That's all I know and then there's those lower forms, like Pichu, Magby, etc.
So I don't know is it worth to stack up since they can balance gen2 Pokemon stats as well.
Eevee will have two more evolutions in Umbreon and Espeon.
Slowpoke will have another evolution in Slowking.
Oddish will have another final form in Bellossom.
Poliwag will have another final form in Politoed.
Seadra will evolve into Kingdra.
Onix will evolve into Steelix.
Scyther will evolve into Scizor.
Golbat will evolve into Crobat.
Porygon will evolve into Porygon2.
Chansey will evolve into Blissey.
Also there will be baby forms added to the game: Pichu (of Pikachu), Cleffa (of Clefairy), Igglybuff (of Jigglypuff), Tyrogue (of Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and also Hitmontop), Smoochum (of Jynx), Elekid (of Electabuzz), and Magby (of Magmar).
You might want to start stacking up candies of all of these mons, especially for the best new evolutions - personally I'm focusing on Kingdra, Steelix, Scizor, Umbreon and Espeon!
I've been saving/farming hard on Slowpoke for Slowking, Poliwag for Politoed and Oddish for Bellossom.
I'm likely going to be short a few Oddish candies but hopefully I can keep finding them every now and then. They are very rare here.
Slowpoke's are pretty rare as well and totally lucked out catching a level 29 - 971CP Slowpoke (87%). Oh man I can't wait for him to be a Slowking!
I'm also not spending any more dust and saving it for Gen 2 in case there is some monster gym beast that I need to power up.
