Just picked up my tenth one. Got two this event! How are y'all doing with the shiny count.

Zero for me too.

İ got me self 9 magikarp and 4 pikachu so far.

I went to Safari Zone in Paris 10 days ago, caught 143 Pikachus and 125 Karps during the event and no shiny... all of my friends got at least one of each. Oh well... :)

For the record I've caught more than 1500 karps since July ´16 and I'm close to get the gold medal for Pikachu. Hope to get some soon.

ditto for me, minus being able to attend a safari zone.

Anyone who has 10 shinys is living proof the RNG is screwed up.

Maybe. I live near the coast and play in two main strips near the beach.

There are over a dozen spots where you regularly see karp clusters. Most people in my area have one two or three. I know a woman with six. There are a few with none too.

There was a day where a friend of mine caught three in about an hour. That was most impressive. Its hard to day if it made a difference but she maxed one out. Caught another one. Evolved max. Then caught the third.

I'm constantly on the lookout for people with more than me. A friend sent me a picture of a trainer with 12. This individual happened to have over 5000 encounters though.

i wonder if i am the only one that transfers the junk ones...

You must be spending a lot if Niantic hasn't grabbed you yet.

i have 2 x gyarados and 2 x karps and transferred 4 x 10 cp, and 1 x 36 cp karps all got while in SF this summer. i have a shiny pikachu from the airport in hawaii. i am still looking for shinies where i live haven't even seen one here of either in brooklyn. i think the rate is 1 in 400 or so to even see one, i've seen 1783 but i think its more like 1 in 200.

Level 33 semi-rural player: 0 shiny.

Also I got my first ever 100% IV just yesterday (Muk 1548 CP from a raid!) after one year of playing.

Also, 0 legendary. Only could participate in 2 such raids so far.

3 shinies, now maxed out Gyarados despite mediocre IV's (they spend a lot of time in gyms, though - they're just for fun).

I was damn lucky during the water event where I got them - nowhere near water - but got none since then, although I live near the coast and also go to lake parks fairly often.

But don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! BTW, I have zero shiny Pichu or Pikachu. I also can't do legendary raids (rural) and therefore have none. So my shinies are my pride and joy (in game;-)

I hope everyone who doesn't have one yet gets one or more soon!
