How many 100% legit players?

By legit I mean not using third party scanners. And fake GPS obviously, that goes without saying.

I'm 100% legit, just walking around, hatching eggs and catching whatever there is to catch on my route. I'm level 32 now and my collection isn't THAT impressive actually - I've only hatched 2 Snorlaxes, none of them is fully powered up, never encountered a wild one, I've never hatched a Lapras, caught one with bad IVs in the wild. I got 2 Dragonites (also not fully powered up) both unfortunately with suboptimal movesets.

Whenever I hear people bragging about their armys of top tier 100% IV pokemon (I've only hatched one Nidoran 100% and Natu recently), or Snorlaxes or god knows how many Dragonites I can't help thinking - that's not possible without cheating, or is it?

Now:
1. If YOU are 100% legit, tell me about your achievements.
2. What is your stand on third party scanners? Is it okey? Soft cheating? Regular cheating? :)

Of all the "cheats," third party scanners are the least of my worries if they are used by non-spoofers. I get the appeal of physically going to a specific location to catch something you otherwise wouldn't know was there.

Spoofers are the enemy. Take care of them before worrying about trackers.

^^^Agreed, spoofers are the real issue. I’m 100% legit level 30 but can’t say I haven’t checked out a scanner out of curiosity when the game was in its infancy. That being said, I didn’t use it to catch anything (I was sitting at my desk at work and couldn’t exactly go catch stuff outside) and I don’t think scanners are readily available anymore except to those on the black market that know what they are doing. The only thing I do that isn’t 100% legit maybe is I leave the game on when I’m in traffic to rack up steps. It’s like “do not play Pogo while driving!.....butchu can still play after you click this green bubble gotchu dawg ; ) “

Public scanners are still up for large cities unfortunately. A whole list was posted not long ago. I'm guessing that why some posts will say " I happen to be on a business trip to 'insert city' and caught this ultra rare perfect!!"

If large area scanners were shut down spoofing would immediately drop significantly.

I am 100% legit, and also level 32. I only have two 100% IV pokemon. I do not spend any money on the game, but my area is Mystic strong, so I've been able to lock in 100 coins / day for a long time. This pays for upgrades and incubators. I'm typically low on stardust, with less than 200K at any given moment. I walk a lot, to hatch and catch as well.

With regards to third party scanners - it's cheating, and I don't condone it.

My best accomplishment - my six Snorlax defenders. Hatched and caught, and ranging from 50-91 IV, (five over 82), and all level 30 or above. This has come through buddying Snorlax, and a lot of walking. 1108 Snorlax km, out of 2126 total walking km.

4 thumbs down already? My guess is people sorta like the trackers since Niantic's one sucks and if anything, people DRIVE to pokestops to catch what's shown now vs. actually hunting and walking around for stuff that used to be sightings.

I've seen scanners work and don't use them (it seems to cheapen the experience for me), but there are also twitter feeds which gets info from scanners where they tell you all the IVs and where a rare mon is and how long as well...don't use those neither since I don't like driving mostly.

I honestly would prefer if all spawns were just random so trackers would all break, but that'd be impossible I hear.

I also would like spawn points to not be set so you can be randomly walking anywhere and anything can spawn for you. It makes it more surprising/fun for me if they did that.

It'd be nice if trading wasn't implemented until spawns can be randomized or tracking broken since it only benefits people who would eventually sell perfect mons (I think someone posted a trainer had 4 100% IV Tyranitar's already)...

Wow. 5 thumbs down for a legit post about how you play?

This site really needs to show who is giving thumbs up and thumbs down because anonymous voting on comments is just senseless with keyboard warriors..

I am lv32, and qualified to be an 100% legit based on your standards. Hatched 4 snorlaxes, and upgraded one of them to 2850. One laparas and only one draganite with CP 2650, which I keep as my buddy for 310 KMs. Only two 100% IV pokemons.

I am not sure if those players who have much better achievements are cheating, and I would like to think they are more hardcore and luck than us. More likely, they live in much better placese in terms of spawns and stuff.

My personal opinion is that the third party scanners are okay since you have to go out to catch those pokemons after all. It's not like fake GPS you can catch while still in bed. So I won't consider those players anything near cheaters.

Sometimes yoi have to compete with others in Pokemon Go, but always remember this HAVING FUN IS THE NO.1. If you are happy to have some pokemon companions when walking dogs, jogging around in your neighbors then you don't need to get depressed when seeing others have 5 dragonites over 3000CP. Because you enjoy this game in your own way, others will do the same. That's what matters most.

I am absolutely 100% legit, but may re-consider if Niantic fucks my best Pokemon in future re-balancing updates (just kidding).

I don't have any achievements but my happiest, luckiest PoGO moments came from the five Pokemon shown in my GamePress Pokemon Box.

I consider myself 100% legit (and also a 100% free player). I've used crowd-sourced info for finding nests, such as the Silph Road nest atlas, and my local PoGo Facebook page when I was trying to get a Chansey during the Valentine's Day event. I know that some of the sightings shared on the Facebook page are derived from scanners, but I've never caught a specific pokemon from that source, only checked out known past spawn points.

I'm level 35, with seven 100% pokemon (three wild out of >15,000 caught, and four hatched out of 585 hatched eggs). The wild ones were a Pidgey and two Horseas; hatched were a Charmander, Exeggcute, Scyther, and Oddish. The only real beast among them is an Exeggutor evolved from the Exeggcute, with Confusion/Psychic, and maxed out to level 36.5 (CP 2771).

I've caught five wild Snorlaxes, and five wild Laprases, and have caught all but 22 Gen 1 pokemon in the wild. Most of the ones I have not caught wild are evolved forms, with Tangela being the sole exception. I caught two wild Chanseys a minute apart in the same mall parking lot during the Valentine's Day event, after dozens of hours of hunting.

I've collected coins from 10 gyms every day in 2017, and have easy access to a lot of pokestops, so am able to keep my max-capacity item bag close to full.

I am 100% legit - level 35 too. I have a perfect IV Lapras (hatched), Snorlax (hatched) and Dragonite (found a dratini at level 14). I also have a perfect IV Gengar and Starmie. None of the big three have the ideal movesets.

I have caught 26 Snorlax, 200 dratini leading to 7 dragonites, but have never even seen a lapras in the wild. I only had one porygon until the valentine special and had never seen a Chancey in the wild until valentines day either.

I don't use a scanner and don't play with others. I am a morning runner and have logged 2541 KMs acording to the jogger medal. When I run I catch pokemon and spin pokestops. I generally get credit for less than a kilometer per mile run so I think I would be closer to 3500 Kilometers if I got credit for all my distance.

I am realistic, don't consider myself 100% legit, I myself don't use third party trackers but I live in a small town and have got messages in the past from a group we are with other players of the "rare" spawns (some Snorlax, Dratini and Charmander for example). I went there actually if close to me at that moment and catch them but I can't say for sure that those players don't use trackers, rare spawns are very rare here so when a player tells us for example there is a Snorlax here, and two days later there is a Dratini here I have to suspect that maybe he is using some kind of tracking app.

I don't regret it because I can't know if people I communicate with are using trackers or not, don't consider myself a cheater by anyway, I have worked very hard, walked more than 1300km at this moment, payed money and hatched around 750 eggs.

A lot will say that if I suspect that someone use a tracker I should not get that mon, but let's be all honest, if a Snorlax is close to you and you know it is something you will see once in like 3 months you won't go to get it?

Btw, I am level 35 and 1/2, played since launch, never missed a single day, at least I play 1hour or 2 every day.

Sounds good to me. To those hardcore purists who says trackers are evil: if you are at a park, and someone runs past saying a Snorlax or Dragnoite is just ahead, would you join him, or ask for his source of info?

Up

Down

I'd call myself 97.5% legit. I've never used a scanner myself, BUT when I'm out with a group and someone who is using a scanner announces that there's a Dratini five blocks away, I run for it just like everyone else.

I'm level 33. No Lapras.
One Dragonite with DB/HB. (Been slowly amassing candies hoping my 2nd one would have DB/DC, but that dream's kinda dashed now.)
I have caught 19 Snorlax, but Snorlax actually isn't that rare in my area.

Man snorlax is thick around here huh? Don't know if it's good or bad considering they fill up the gyms.

You get really good at battling against them, lol.
When you're looking at having to fight 6 of them in a row, you learn to watch movesets, and send in the Pidgeots and Gyarados against the ones with Earthquake so your more sturdy attackers like Vaporeon and Exeggutor are available to go against Zen Headbutt / Body Slam, etc.

I've seen & caught 32, only because a local park was a Machop nest. They're pretty rare here.

Not 100% Legit:

  • I have used a scanner before. Stopped. They were always wrong anyway, slow, and generally a pain. I don't find it useful - you have to exit the Pokemon app, scan for a few minutes, and by the time you get to wherever that pokemon was, it's gone. It may be useful with GPS spoofing, but I don't do that.
  • I have used a tool that logged into my account to calculate IVs. Stopped after learning that can get you banned.
  • I have used, and still use online/web-based IV calculators.

I am 100% legit now, but for three weeks in the autumn I occasional used one of those web maps that gave you spawns in a 100m radius. But even though the game tracker was a confusing joke at that time I felt it ruined the game and stopped using it. I actually did not get much out of that map anyway so I did not miss it.

1) I play a LOT (reconvalescencent at the moment and need all exercise I can get). Also use a lot money to buy incubators to get max incentive to walk longer (but it is a cheap health improvement). 4-9h/day (not missed a single day), 2400km, lvl 38, 30k mons. 21 >3000cp, 17 100% mons (only 1 caught). Just occasional gyming, I don´t like standing still too long, so mostly a collecting player. You surely can play legit and hold your own, but it takes a lot of playing time, and money if you go the incubator road.

2) My personal line is rather strict: one account, no tracking, no apps using data streams from the game, no spoofing and no driving (just a personal rule). I have discussed ethics with players in my town and tried to make them aware that it is not that easy to draw a line between "acceptable cheating" and nonacceptable. Either you follow the rules made by Niantic (it is their game after all) or you cheat and live with it.

I'm lvl 27, being playing since august, my city don't have much pokestops or pokemons, but enouth to make progression, I don't have any 100% IV, I only keep the pokemons with 84%+ IV (84% is high enouth for me). My city is dominated by cheaters, so get GYM is almost impossible (RIP coins).

As for my achives I never walked so much in years hehe (almost reaching 1k KM).

And visit parks that I didn't know they even existed, and ofc meeting new people.

Up

I'm 100% legit based on these standards. Level 33. I only have 100% IV mon that I know about a Jolteon that I caught in August and just noticed a few weeks ago that it's 100%. I think my favorite achievement was completing the Gen 1 regional pokedex about 2 months ago. Also hatched 6 Snorlaxes and caught one 1 in the wild, none are fully powered though. I have one dragonite and one lapras (both caught in the wild). I'm also happy about my achievement by luck of a level 28 Typhlosion that I got in an incense the first day of gen 2:)

As for third party scanners, I don't really mind them too much soft cheating maybe? For me it would take the fun out of it but that's just me. GPS spoofing is a way bigger problem obviously.

I hate spoofers the most. Close second are those who have two accounts to knock the lowest person out of a gym and then put their monster at the top. It really screws the game for the casual players. I get bummed thinking of a 13 year old kid putting his 1900 cp Rhydon in a gym only to have some fat fuck on a couch knock it out to put his 3200 dragonite in and collect coins for 10 days.

I'm 99% legit: I referenced the Silph Road Nest Atlas to help me find a local Omanyte nest to get an Omastar and local Kabuto nest to get to a Kabutops.

  1. Achievements:

On 2/15/17 I officially caught the last of the gen 1 regional 143 Pokemon, just days before Gen 2 was kicked off.

Level 31

Yet to hatch Togepi and Elekid

Favorite catches:
CP 30 (yes... CP 30) Blastoise with Bite and HydroPump.
CP 191 Charizard
CP 1992 Muk
CP 1201 Lapras (never thought I'd find one... did so on Feb 13. Ran out of a dept store to walk a block to snag her; Ice Shard and Ice Beam, 53% IV).
CP 671 IV 67% Dragonite
CP 2527 Snorlax (probably was around CP 1900 when I caught him? IV 74%. Buddy for 173 km).
CP 519 36% IV Snorlax with ZH/BS

89% IV Ditto that I've maintained to almost full CP (603 now) for some reason...

Eggs: I haven't hatched any "rare" guys like Snorlax and Lapras, but did hatch: 100% IV Hitmonlee.

Pretty lost in Gen 2.. not sure if I'm seeing common Pokemon or Rare ones. I feel like my Wobbuffett, Pineco, Octillery, and Mantine catches seem unique?

  1. I think Silph Road atlas is acceptable. Kind of like a buddy telling you that he found a unique Pokemon up the block. Since it's not actually creating accounts, plugging up the servers, and locating specific pokemon for you, I think it's OK. With that said, I just find fun in the challenge to see what pops up, and try to find unique Pokemon. Spoofing and cheating takes the fun out. I'm proud to have the collection I did as a legit player, but it's for myself to enjoy.

  1. I consider myself a 100% clean player. I'm currently level 32. Catched 1 100% IV Rhyhorn and hatched 1 100% IV Pikachu. I have hatched both 2 Lapras and Snorlax and caught 1 Lapras in the wild. Further, I have 1 dragonite maxed out (46% IV only).

My biggest achievement is completing my gen1 Pokedex a few days ago.

  1. I used to have understanding for trackers as Pokeradar and FPM when the in game tracker was broke. These days, I don't respect anyone who uses any kind of 3rd party app.

In general opinion I am probably about 80 or 85% clear. I use scanners, I think they are ok, unless they show IV and moveset, it is too much. I tried once and got really disapointed, there was a venusaur, witch I normaly would go after, but it had like 40% IVs and RL/Sludge bomb, so I didn't even tried, after that I disabled it. I use IV stats too, that I think is 100% ok.

I've never spoofed, and the only 3rd party app I've ever used is IV Go. I only have a few perfect IV 'Mons. One of them is Pidgeot. I do have a decent collection of 98 and 96 percenters. A lot of them got terrible movesets though (I'm talking about you, Twister Gyrados and Mud Shot Poliwrath). The only Gen 1 'Mon I'm missing besides the regional exclusives is Lapras. Going on a cruise in a few weeks, so hoping I might finally catch one.

I caught two Dragonites in the wild last August about a week apart. Both were wonders. One was 82% and the other was 96%. The 96% was only CP 49 when I caught him, and it has taken months, but I have powered him up all the way to over 3100! He has Dragon Breath/Dragon Pulse, which is rated a BB move set, but he mows down Blissey in gym battles.

Other than that, I live in a grass biome, so I have tons of high-IV grass types. Between my Venusaurs, Victreebels, and Vileplumes, I feast on Vape-heavy gyms.

  1. 100% Legit. 6-7 100% Mons from hatching and/or catching. 1 evolved Dragonite (DB/HB) from wild Dratini (never hatched a dratini ever), 4 more wild Dragonites caught. 3 Snorlax Hatches,6 wild caught. 5 Lapras Hatches, 0 wild caught. Walked about 1200 km. Caught about 14K mons. Hatched 850 mons.
  2. Scanners don't bother me as much. I hate Botters/Spoofers, and Dual-Account people who knock out a team member from a gym to place their own.

Edit: Just wanted to add that I am Level 34.

100% legit here. Almost level 34. Absolutely NO 3rd party anything, but I do use the Silph Road nest atlas.

Best achievement is a Dratini hatched at level 12, with 100% IV's. Dratini poor in my area, so I've walked him through the stages for over 620KM, plus put every single other candy I ever got into him,. He's now level 33, 3223CP, 167HP, with DB/HB moveset.

Well since everyone is kinda honest here, I have a need to tell my sins.
1. First of all I spoofed and I'm spoofing a bit right now as well. I'm using it to catch distant rare mons if I spot any at night and when the weather is really bad. Mostly cuz many pokemon are REALLY rare in my area,so far I saw only one chikorita, fortunetly didn't need to spoof to catch her. I have some rules too: I don't take up gyms unless there is free space for a mon. I don't go anywhere outside my town, long time ago I did tho, spoofed to go to Berlin, Florida, Kopenhaga, however I did regret it, it just felt too wrong even for a filty spoofer like me, so I transfered all the mons I got at locations other than mine.
2.I used PokeVision when it was up, some other locating sites later too, and now I'm sometimes using PokeSensor.(I recently understood how much of server lags may those things cause so I'm leaving them)
3.I'm using IV calculators the whole time.

Well don't think I spoof only, I used to play 6/8h a day, and I'm only lv 31, which I find low for a cheater, I'm simply frustrated about how hard is to play decently in my city. Not even a single nest here kek.

Sorry guys, you've got all rights to hate me.

The fact that you're only level 31 even while spoofing shows that you must live in a pretty desolate spawn area where this game would be pointless without the additional aid.
And since you're obviously not using spoofing to gain an unfair advantage over other players, I don't judge.

100% level 33 almost 34. 3 usable Snorlaxes. Powered up 2 caught 1 with bad IVs. A few unusable ones at low levels. I have more than a few Dragons, but I like near water. Tyranitar will be a test. I have caught 2 low level Laprases. I also horde dust especially lately.

Up

By your standard, I'm 100% legit lvl 33. I've looked at nest locations, but never a scanner. I have 3 100% IV pokemon (1 hatched, 2 caught). I've hatched one snorlax (terrible moveset and IV) and caught one in the wild (even worse). I'm Lapras free. Been walking my 89% IV Dragonite for 400km and counting, and finally getting it to near max. I've survived on a metric ton of 90+ IV vaporeons, and having a lot of people in my area (whether legit or not) who have the snorlax, lapras, etc needed to hold a gym for team Mystic.

I am a straight up legit player. Been playing since the Sunday in July the week it opened. Only hatched 1 Snorlax, 2 Lapras(before the nerf). About 43,000 experience away from level 32. I do not have a usable Dragonite and my first 100 perfect Mon was a chikorita since gen2 came out. I have spent 100 bucks total for incubators only during candy and dust events. I think the scanners are cheating. Knowing exactly where you need to go to get the best guys before ever being there is cheating the game. It just is. I love surprise when the CP shows up and it's high. That's just my opinion.

Legit one here and just hit level 32 as well. Hatched 2 snorlax and he's been my first and only buddy (except Alakazam since i put both my snorlax in a gym one time) i sometimes go to 59th street lexington Manhattan, New York City where there are 4 next to each other pokestops with Lures always in use 24/7. Caught my first lapras there. Before when Fastpokemap was in use, i used to see a pokemon on a radar and leave to go run to the pokestop before time runs out, that used to be really fun. Had to run before the timer ran out to catch my first Dragonite. Rarely i go out at night to do my daily walk and take over gyms. I never spoofed but i have used that scanner only. Since it has been shut down, i just play the game. It got boring and i stopped playing for 2 months but now Gen 2 is out, im playing again. Cheating is never good but these ppl be overboard from what I've heard. Like just spoof to catch pokemon and train/take over gyms but nooo they always wanna do the most and retake it everytime another team does or use one account to remove the last pokemon to put in theirs. Some people always abusing something smh. I'll just keep playing regular and since im yellow i can only claim max 6 gyms. If it's concentrated with mystic players, i can only claim 3. All in all we have to deal with spoofed players no matter what. I say report them if you know they're spoofing only which is difficult. I know players that drive around/park to catch or battle. Some that go behind a building, parking lot, down a hill etc. So ppl won't see them standing there playing. Maybe they live in a building right next to a gym and you think they're spoofing! Just make sure their legit before reporting.

I think I play too much and I should let go a bit.
I spent some good money on the game.
Caught and hatched a lot of good pokemon, working really really hard.
I have a lot of problems with gyms, because I'm team yellow and my small city is FULL of team blue cheaters! I hate them and I reported some of them (the one I'm sure about).
So far, these are my 8 100% IV pokemon:

Up

100% legit level 38player.

•My biggest, and probably weirdest and at same time proof of getting there is that i have walked over 3000km! (Comes down to an average of over 13km every day since launch in sweden july 16)
Ive spent money pretty much only on incubators, so if im gonna label myself im obviously the walker/hatcher trainer.
My crown jewel is my maxed out snorlax zh/bs sitting at 3278.
Also, ive never played a single pokemon game, never owned a pokemon card :)

•I absolutely hate map-tracking, even more than spoofing. Its been so normalised and i think its utterly naive not to realise that the tool used daily with poor arguments among players is the same tool that provides the possibility for spoofers to nurture their accounts with rares!
I belive spoofers are gonna be banned, its gonna take time, but it will catch up.
The bigger problem is tracking, and the attitude thats now estbalished among common players is that its ok to use.
Kill the trackers before it kills the game!

I used Pokevision back in the day and didn't even get anything good from it. Besides that I'm legit. Currently level 29.

I don't really care if other people use scanners though, since tracking could be improved so that it's not a crapshoot as to what shows up in those 9 slots. You still need to put in the legwork to get to the Pokemon (or drive to it). I don't blame people for not wanting to wander around aimlessly in the cold (or drive around wasting petrol) and still end up with nothing.

If those people who use scanners didn't use them I doubt they'd play as much as they do, in Niantic's shoes they probably just turn a blind eye to scanners because they're still boosting the player count. If they're not spoofing, they're still playing the game fairly in my opinion.

As for achievements, what do people consider as achievements? My Pokemon collection isn't that large or impressive but I'm content with what I have. Medal stats aren't anything to brag about either. Caught my first Snorlax a month ago and it came with Zen + Body Slam, 2 Lapras, one level 18 and one level 10, both didn't come with Dragon Pulse so I can't complain (Ice Shard + Blizzard and Frost Breath + Ice Beam) and I walked with one of them for 575km, now I'm buddying Snorlax. Besides that I don't have anything worth mentioning.

Level 33.5, 100% legit because it seems to me PoGo would be really boring otherwise. The only thing that has made me even consider spoofing (though I doubt I could be bothered to learn how) is the fact that I occasionally waste gas when my bag is low in order to drive to a good PokeStop park.

Snorlax: 0 hatched, 4 caught
Lapras: 1 hatched (91%), 3 caught
Dragonite: 0 so far, but just reached 126 candy with a 91% Dratini hatch ready to go

Four 100%'s
Vaporeon (from caught Eevee, pre-IV fix, using name trick)
Beedrill (from hatched Weedle)
Marowak (from hatched Cubone)
Jolteon (from caught Eevee)

I think anything that violates ToS should not be used, but I'm not personally bothered by their use unless it affects the gym ecosystem. People who want to go the comparatively boring route and complete their 'dex more quickly by seeing and/or catching a Snorlax many miles away should put a * in its name or something, and refrain from putting it in gyms (or using candy gained from it on other 'mons).

For those who scan, spoof, and use every advantage in gyms, I'm curious to know: what parts of the game are enjoyable? I could never play a FPS (or any other game for that matter) in god-mode for more than a few minutes without it seeming tedious.

I'm level 33 and I consider myself 100% legit. Never used a scanner, but I sometimes check twitter or facebook pages for nest locations. Also, I sometimes drive to a pokestop dense area to refill my bag. TBH I don't consider this cheating, just laziness.
I have a dog so I do walk a lot and it is always fun to have po go during my walks.
My biggest achievement was catching my first snorlax during the Christmas event. Never hatched one. Caught a low level one a few days ago.
My second biggest achievement was my first dragonite (which also allowed me to complete my gen 1 pokedex) just one week before gen 2. Dratinis are very rare in my area and I haven't been able to fully power him up yet.
I was lucky to hatch a larvitar from the second 10k egg since gen 2 so my new project tyranitar is already ongoing..,,
EDIT: I have 4 100% IV mons, 1 rhydon, 1 arcanine, 1 bellsprout and 1 geodude

I actually stopped playing the game for two months once pokestumble was taken down. Level 31. Two 100% mons dragonite and gyarados(twister) but I got these when the iv distribution was skewed. I found my first snorlax because of pokestumble, it was 300ft to the left. I probably won't find another snorlax with out a tracker. 441km walked. 422 eggs hatched.

I put myself in the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" crowd. I started when the game launched and was 100% legit until about December, when it had become abundantly clear that the number of cheaters in my area had risen to a level where it became impossible to compete at/prestige/hold any gym and that Niantic had little to no interest in stopping them. I'd watch a player sitting in a gym by me go from level 25 to 30 to 34 in a matter of about a week. I'd see the same user with a 3000+ Dragonite in 4+ gyms. I'd see a level 10 gym with one normal username on top and the rest filled with usernames composed of random numbers and letters (multiple accounts). No matter how much I walked, purchased incubators/balls/lucky eggs, pidgey farmed, etc., there was no way for me to catch up and compete with these people. The other problem I ran into is battery life. My phone isn't the newest and there's no way I can afford to replace it right now as long as it still technically functions, and even starting at 100% when I approached a gym, I couldn't battle more than about 2-3 rounds before I needed to plug in or my phone would die.
I do have rules I follow when spoofing:
-I never attack enemy gyms
-I don't use the autowalk feature to hatch eggs
-I have NEVER used bots to catch anything; If I catch something it's still me, spending the time, playing the game, throwing my curve balls.
I kinda feel like getting all bent out of shape over spoofers is a little like getting mad at people who speed. Is it against the rules? Totally. Is there anything I personally can do about it? No. They might get a ticket (soft ban) but the chance of them losing their license (permanent ban) is pretty low. What good does it do me to get mad about someone doing something that I can't stop, has no real consequence for them and that I could just as easily be doing myself?
Honestly, spoofing has made the game more fun for me. I still haven't gotten even 1 Dragonite. I only have 3 100% perfect IV mons. I'm only level 34 (barely). In the process of spoofing, I also discovered a cool park near my apartment I didn't even know was there and I've gone there and played legit a few times as well. As long as people like me still spend money on the game, I don't think Niantic is going to be that interested in stopping it.
Oh, and I use IvStats which I can't understand how anyone could have a problem with that.
