How to kill a Blissey?
Does anyone have any tips on how to kill a Blissey? Against an approximate 2500CP Blissey my approximate 2800 Rhydon and my approximate 2600 Vaporean each got timed out. Both got close to winning. Against an approximate 2100CP Blissey, my Rhydon won. I don't have a Dragonite. Any tips regarding specific attackers, move sets, and stand and fight versus dodge would be appreciated. Thank you.

I fought an 2400 cp Blissey with my 1850-ish Machamp (counter/close combat)
I came very close to winning and would have won (with only a bit of hp remaining though) if I hadn't missed the last hyperbeam. I didn't dodge most of the quickmoves.
So, in my experience, Blissey seems beatable with Machamp, but he will only be able to defeat 1.
Drizzle - Thanks. I have an 1850 (exact) Machamp with Karate Chop + Cross Chop. Looks like that move set is now legacy and you have the much stronger Counter + Close Combat move set. I have 34 candies to power my Machamp up and adequate star dust to go along with the candies. (But then I will have to start re-accumulating candy to evolve my Machop waiting in the wings.) I am guessing I could power up my existing Machamp up to around 2200 CP. Any guess as to whether that would be sufficient given the weaker move set?
I'm not sure if I like/dislike Blissey personally...
I understand the frustration for folks, but making everything handed on a plate and SO easy for everyone is dumb too...I think some trainers were upset a level 39 Mon can be beat by a level 25 trainer so I suppose the question to ask is where should the line be drawn?
Blissey can be beat. Definitely with 2 trainers very very easily...
Solo, the ones who can do it fairly easily are higher attacking, quick energy charging decent charged move mons...
Machamp, Gengar, Alakazam, Dragonite, Ursaring can all beat Blissey fairly easily/consistently with the right movesets. You need the NEW moves on Machamp and Gengar though, but even if they get knocked out, you can put enough hurt on Blissey that you can have another mon clean up after with the spare 20-30 seconds...
Making her a walk in the park would be bad for the game IMO and it's only been 3 days since gen 2 release?
Yeah, I wouldn't waste the candy at this point on old Machamps/Gengars.
Agree that the old movesets suck and was a reason I never evolved a Machop (that and no decent IV ones)...but I just prestiged a 2600+ Blissey with a 2000 or so Machamp with C/CC and it was not an issue at all. Sometimes, I think it's better to take a few hits to generate the charge move, and just let your Machamp or Gengar get knocked out and finish Blissey with any other mon...
This makes me think that yes, without the right mon, it's hard, but since not just (1) mon can do it, it's not as big of an issue since my Machamp now (I stockpiled 250+ candies) has only 80% IVs and not the "best" move IMO...
Arcanine will have a tough time I think as my B/Fb can't win normally due to very slow energy gain and no STAB neither.
I was able to beat a 2700+ Blissey with a Vaporeon with 2850 CP. I had about 5-7 seconds to spare. You can only dodge opening 2 hits (try to get in one of your own first) and then all the charge hits. Blissey also can have Psychic moves which put fighting types and gengar at a disadvantage (as you will take extra damage). Actually my new Espeon (CP 2345, Confusion, Future Sight) came really close to beating it. You get the added bonus of taking .80 damage from psychic moves. Right now, the psychic moves seem to give you the biggest bang for the buck. A Rhydon or Golem with Mud Slap and Stone Edge will do well (high DPS moves make the difference here). The only other way is to team up with anyone from your team.
I tried to prestige a 2800+ blissey today, missed by a couple seconds, but I was close enough to believe it is very doable, solo. I think flareon with overheat puts out damage at a fast enough rate. I should have used my c/dp machamp rather than my kc/submission one. eggs with solar beam seem fast enough, alakazam and dragonite work, too. I think espeon would with farsight.
I just spam attacked. I'd already gotten through my own 2400+ CP blissey.
Anyway, I think anything with high base attack stats and an OP charge attack should work, just be prepared to dig into your revive bag. I'm not sure if there is a cooldown for mons feinting. If there is, I should probably dodge some, but what I did worked well for testing a few mon against blissey.
I just beat a 3000cp Blissey (i am level 35 and the guy with the Blissey was level 35, and my 91IV Blissey is maxed at less than 3000, so it was a 95%+ Blissey)
I used 2 Dragonites (both over 3000cp and one with DB/DC and one DB/HB) and just spammed DB and charges moves as much as possible. I only dodged the Dazzling Gleam, and not even all the Gleams for the 2nd Dragonite. It wasn't ideal because thw SE damage from Gleam, but I got the job done.
