How to get Rhydons to stop showing up in your lineup

Almost every raid battle or gym battle I have to deal with taking my Rhydons out of my lineup to replace them with the appropriate picks such as my Tyranitars, Dragonite or Machamps. My Rhydons are completely suboptimal for fighting (RS/MH). I remember seeing a post like this not too long ago. Anyone have any ideas?

You could battle them and not heal them. Or leave them in gyms.

I have also somewhat been having this issue too. There is no way around it since favorited pokemon no longer show up as the chosen six.

To be perfectly honest, I don't even change my lineup anymore. It is not worth the time. We get so many potions and revives now from raiding and spinning I just go with what it gives me and heal up later. It will recommend all my level 30+ tyranitar first and then switch to rhydon and others after they are dead or low on HP.

If you can easily obtain potions and revives, I wouldn't even change the default lineup.

It's not even about potions, it's about time. One machamp will deal with Blissey 3 times faster than your 6 T-Tar. It's annoying that the preselected team picks the slowest counters and makes you waste time

It would be great if they'd give the option of setting up two or three battle teams so that you get your best fighters for several situations.

I read somewhere this was meant to be happening. We're meant to be getting the option to save preset teams at some point. Will be quite handy. Hopefully it comes to be and soon. With gyms is a bit less useful unless you make a team of strong generalist attackers, for raid bosses it would be fantastic

Yeah that's what I've heard too, I just am not sure if it's real or not. But it would be useful for everyone. If we get 3 team presets, it could be 2 specific to raids and 1 specific to gyms (usually containing Machamp or Ursaring, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Alakazam or Espeon, and Rhydon).

I used to have the same thing with rhydon. Now its magnetons and gengars instead. Like others said best way is to let something knock them out and dont revive them. Until we get that ability to save preselected teams anyway

Why is it important to quickly set up your team just to wait 70s for the raid to start?

With lag etc... i find it important. I also have the problem with raids that i will set up my team and 10 seconds later "gps signal not found" and for some reason this resets my team back to what the game originally decided on. And thats not cricket at all, no matter if i a bear makes a sound when it makes number 2s in the woods or not. The other reason is trying to search through a lot of pokemon to find the one you want when the game is lagging is not cool either... sometimes the game doesnt respond when you click a mon... or it lags and you end up clicking the wrong mon. Surely it's nit a difficult feature to implement and if it makes the game more stream lined then why not?

I wish there was an auto start function for raids to skip the wait. Waiting 2 minutes just increases chances for errors and reduces the number of possible attempts per hour. Even if it was only available in private lobbies.

One of the things i wanted as well. Though I've uninstalled the game now may see how it changes in the future
