How to get balls or potions?

The evil Pokemon maker links the possibility of getting ball/potion to the number of balls/potions in your inventory. The more balls you have, the higher chance you get balls from a poke stop. To gain from this evil design, here is what I do:

Use regular balls as much as possible to reduce the number of total regular balls in my bag. This way, i will get more better balls. Keep at least 1 ultra/max potion for seed. Without them, it could take very long to get the next ultra/max potion. Same as 1, I use regular potion as much as possible. Never let it get past 20.

You make a bold claim - do you have any data to support it? It is almost unfathomably unlikely that they would do something like dynamically biasing the item drops away from what you need. It feels like it is, but that's not borne out if you actually keep track of what you get.

You need to actually take the data and do the math here. The human brain is incredibly bad at dealing with randomness, we see patterns in random noise when there isn't an underlying pattern.

I reverse engineered the game codes. The regular ball's logic is this:
If you have 0-10% of your bag regular ball, you get 75% of chance of getting it for each item you get in the next pokestop spin.

If you have 10%-75% of your bag as regular balls, the chance of getting a ball is directly related with the percentage of your balls in a fairly complex formula.

The same applies to the other items except the first condition.

So that's why I constantly get Max potions, Max revives an Ultra balls?

Nice to know!

I observe with my account and 2 kids accounts that when your item bag gets out of balance the imbalance gets worse at Pokestops.
It doesn't just seem that way, it is that way. If your play requires potions and revives, you have to keep deleting or using up balls.

Sounds like they're forcing us to use all aspects of the game instead of focusing on only part.
Deprive what is used
Feed what isn't used

All i know is that i only use Pokéballs to stack up on great and ultraballs. Same apply for potions. Use revive, super then potion to stack up the max revives and max potions.
