How far do I take my Mewtwo?

I have received one ex pass and caught one Mewtwo (78% A14/D11/S10). I'm out of rare candy, but I have been able to power it up to level 31. All rare candies I get will be going towards Mewtwo, but I rarely raid more than once per day, so I won't be swimming in candies any time soon. Should I continue with this Mewtwo and eventually max it out (I'm level 36) or should I hold off for a better one?

Thumbs up for max as soon as possible.
Thumbs down for stop at level 31.

I would hold it there for now. A Mewtwo at level 31 already has high CP. You might get another one and will want to power it up, too. My goal is to eventually have two: one with Shadow Ball and one with Focus Blast.

I'd stay at 31. I took my 12/12/10 to 30 3314 and have no thoughts of doing more to it; I have an additional 175 Mewtwo candies stored, plus 65 more in my bag. I have a 15/15/15 Tyranitar that I want to have a higher CP than it, also a 15/13/15 Dragonite I want to stay higher. My 1 EX pass was on Sept 21

Think of all the poor souls who don't have mewtwo :D

There's many ways Niantic could have brought Mewtwo into in and they pick the worst ones.

Hail Niantic!!

I really am considering doing one and done with Suicune when it comes to America. If you're one of your immediate area's stronger players you can affect the playing pool and save yourself a bunch of petrol

I agree. I always try to be sensitive of this when I ask questions about Mewtwo. I don't think the EX raid system is inherently a bad idea. I think the extended "testing" period has been ludicrous. I have one mewtwo. I think that's all anyone should have (same with all legendaries, but that's another story).

The real problem is that they keep testing at the same gyms with the same people and they get 3, 4, 5, or even 6 copies of the most powerful pokemon in the game. In the end, the whole system ends up as an absurd farce and a circus where all of us players are the performers.
