How to escape after Bubble Strat

I think you have to count The attacks , if you spam , it will continúe happening

Count the attacks, put your finger over where the escape and the "ok" button will be and then react fast. I levelled a gym with Magikarp (def) and Weedle (att) and managed to flee 9/10 times before the following Hypno could attack me.

I find it's a matter of fleeing as quickly as possible. But sometimes lag from the internet connection, app response or smartphone means we can't flee as quick or bubblestrat fails so revives and potions are needed.
