How does true DPS work on this site?

I can understand 1 charged moves but how does this apply to 2+ charged moves? Does the true DPS signify the amount of DPS if all charges are used or for each individual bar?

damage divided by time.

It is only the 'true dps' for the time that the move is being used - it has nothing to do with actual dps across the total of the fight time.

It won't change whether it is an idividual bar, or all charges of multiple bars.

DPS of a charge move is not a strong measure of it's effectivemess when taken in isolation.

I think "True DPS" is incorporating the pokemon's attack stat, STAB, and an average defender's defense stat with no type advantage so that you can compare two pokemon with the same moves.

this might be the equation.

Damage = Floor { Attack / 200 * Move Power * STAB } + 1

i used this equation and i got the true DPS for most quick moves.
