How do you Nickname your Pokemon?

I was looking at a couple of screenshot in the Q&A and was curious how people nickname their mons? I use their name and then A for att, D for def, AD for both and then if they have specific move sets (like exeggutor with Confusion/Psychic i will put DP for def/psy).

How do you quick ID your mons?

I do it depending on Moveset, to quickly choose then when attacking or putting on defense. The ones that are only good for one thing (like jolteon or flareon) i dont identify because theres no need for it.

Oh, i use fun names on some of then, my best exeggutor is WeedEvDay. :)

Has the IV calculator here been adjusted since the update? Just curious if you've used it since.

For 100 IV perfect moves I give them real nicknames. And for others IV and move set for example 96 DB/DC.

IV / charge move / Attack(A), Defense (D), both (/)

98hp (A) for vaporean

But you can also create categories for fast chosing of mons when you are fighting. Like
1w64hp
1 can be a range for pokemon from 800-1200cp
w stands for water
64 iv
hp hydro pump

so all your water pokemon between 800-1200 building a cluster in your bag.

I use Greek alphabet for mine. Ψ is for attack Ξ for atk or def & Φ for defense. Then usually some kind of naming. Like vaporeon is vapes exeggutor is eggs charizard is char kingler is patty. Then IVs I round down to the nearest full number so 88.6% would just be 88% and then more Greek alphabet for their grade. Δ for A rating β For B rating & ζ for a C rating. The move sets best rating dictates the starting symbol for my Pokémon.

Ex: ΦVapes 91% Δ Is what my top vaporeon defender looks like

Just nicknames. Ie, all my Vaporeons named Tiamat (after the ancient goddess of the deep) have Hydro Pump; the ones named Aquana have Aqua Tail.

My Solar Beam Exeggutors are named Genghis because SB is a grass-type move and Genghis Khan conquered the grasslands of Asia.

I name Flareons with Fire Blast "Ibliis" (Arabic for "devil") and Arcanines with Fire Fang "Sheitaan" (Arabic for "Satan").

I don't need to incorporate stats into their names because I have a freakish memory for numbers and remember them all.

If the pokemon has crazy IV's and the right moveset, i give them legit nicknames like my 90%+ dragonites are named rhaegal, viserion and drogon with DC/DP, DC/HB, SW/DP. rest of my pokemons are named with their IV's
