How is Ditto gonna work in Pvp?

I mean, since a perfect Ditto has a max of 832cp, how is it gonna work in the 1500cp league

I assume he'd be allowed in any league, but would of course be limited by what is copied. Even if Ditto's IVs are better, it will be close to the CP cap even if it exceeds it a bit.

That's not how Ditto works. It copies its opponent atk and def base stats, but keep its level and HP. So a level 40 Ditto that copy Metagross for example, will have the attack and deffense of a level 40 Metagross and will sweep everything.

Ditto's CP becomes the CP of what the pokemon its against at the level the ditto and with the dittos iv distribution would be (meaning more simply a max level perfect ditto becoming a mewtwo would have the same CP as a perfect mewtwo at level 40 even if the mewtwo its going agaisnt is level 20)
This could be ditto's big boom. Going agaisnt something like low level dragonite and such while its level 40 would sky rocket its CP and attack to far above that of its oppoent.

it will be the first to hit the banlist

I think Ditto will be a unique choice.

It will absolutely stomp in the 1500CP league when against Pokemon like Dragonite, Metagross, or Tyranitar, as it will skyrocket in CP and be unbeatable.

However, teams with weaker pokemon at near max level picked (especially those with high HP) will fair exceptionally well against it.

For example, a level 40 Flaafy with 1500CP would destroy a level 40 Ditto.

So it would be interesting. I expect most casuals to be bringing in weather boosted (level 30 to 35) pokemon that just happen to be under 1500 - so likely second evolutions. These will beat Ditto. However most "prepared" players will have third evolution pokemon with strong moves, and they would get stomped by Ditto. The question then becomes - do all the Ditto players match up against players in the first group first (and get eliminated before meeting the "prepared" players), or do they match up against the latter first (and win those matches, then only meet those players as the casual players all get eliminated).

I have no idea which case it would be. However after a few iterations the meta will balance out. The "prepared" players will find something to add to their teams that can deal with Ditto while still beating casual teams and competing with other "prepared" teams. E.g. a max level Chansey at 1255 CP. Or the Flaafy I mentioned earlier.
