How are your lucky mons? Power up?

I tried my first trade for lucky mons and got a L30 gengar with SC with 15a/12d/15s (from a friend, its original stat is 4a/15d/12s) and it is a lucky mon. Yeah. How about your lucky moments?

BTW, should it be maxed out? for what match ups?

well, i certainly maxed my 93 IV sc Gengar

Gotten several lucky...the 96 level 1 and 84 level 35 eevee are the only ones I'll consider playing with

SC Gengar is/has been great for leading against several raid bosses like Mewtwo (needs high level when against Confusion), Alakazam, Claydol, Gengar, Jynx, Latis, Lugia. Whether that's good enough for maxing is up to you.

My luckies so far are A-Grimer, A-Vulpix, Flareon, Tauros and Machamp. None have exceptionally good IVs but I might power up some of the just for fun since it's so cheap.

I think it is a mini-end game filling your gen 1, 2, 3 with luckies (albeit impossible). Checking the Dex entries of your luckies has a raining purple and gold screen. I have 35 total, 26 unique species. These are the main ones with 14 or 15 attack. Some of the more interesting ones have 10 or 11 attack.***I will max a 13/14/12 level 35 lucky Rhydon at some point.

I'm trying really hard not to think of it as an endgame that I should put any effort into. Likely to take insane amounts of sitting in place tapping trades to get anywhere near complete dex.

There would always be that unlucky Mew or Celebi. I’m ahead of the average lucky pack, but I’m sure somebody has 100-150 luckies and 75-100 unique. If someone is that full tilt they probably actually have a mountain of stardust to do some strange challenges. That’s not going to happen here.

I can't even imagine how someone would have that many old mons they'd be willing to trade away. I had 15 pokemon from 2016 saved and 12 of them are never leaving my pokestorage no matter what happens.

Same. I started out with only a dozen Pokemon from 2016 and some of those you'd need to pry from my cold, dead hands to get.

My kid is 3.5 y/o and I watch him working hours in the summer months. He was 1.5 when game started (I especially would play new accounts fall of 2016 xp events). Mainly did it to level up fast and have more balls for him to waste. He sees me on the app and he wants to be on it, until he gets bored powering and evolving everything.

I've had up to 12 accounts level 23 to level 40. I've trashed/erased most (earlier gave my brother and nephew a 31 and 35). I have a 40, 35, 31, 30 remaining, plus my wife's real 27. My wife has 53 2016 left and my mine is mostly intact with about 15 legacy 2016 Mons left. 1 or 2 left on the rest of them combined.

Some people probably really played 6+ accounts from the start (not to pigeon hole ethnicities but Japanese/Korea/Taiwan). Thst probably really like luckies in those regions.

***I just traded 10 I caught this morning on both sides, on my side I got a lucky Teddi and a lucky Torchic both 15a. That’ll close out a few on the lucky dex when I evolve them at some point

I am unlucky at getting even a single Lucky. I tried the 2016 trick with no luck. I am not surprised though. RNG sucks sometimes especially with Pokemon Go. The good news is that my son has gotten several C DP Machamps that at least improved slightly in IV's.

My best trade happened a few days before luckies, level 29 SD/SE Tyrantitar went from 2901 to 2994 (14a/14/11). That is a better candidate to max than any of my luckies. My other 3 big SD Tyranitars are 3327, 3201, 3201 without consistent IV lines. Then a 14a/15/13 at 1300cp. I have 400 larvitar candy.

With the current raid boss rotation Gengar makes a good lead for Kirlia, A-Raichu, A-Wak, and Mewtwo raids. Looking ahead to Gen 4 shows 5(!) legendaries where Gengar deals super effective damage. With these plus a large number of potentially recurring raid bosses I think it's worth maxing out. I maxed out an 84% SC Gengar and get a lot of mileage out of it.

My luckies include a Jolteon, Flareon, and Ice Beam Lapras. The Jolteon I had been maxing out since the dust cost is reduced and I thought it would be fun. I may max out the Lapras as I get dust/candy for it since I never got an Ice Beam Lapras on my own; I never even saw a wild Lapras until after Gen 3 dropped when IB went legacy.

My first lucky was a 91% Blissey, 15/14/12. It is already nearly maxed out with CP 3111.

Got a 15/11/15 (A/S/D) Mewtwo lucky. Maxing for sure.

Got a perfect lucky Magikarp, evolved and brought the Gyarados up to level 30. Not sure why I would power it up any higher since I have tons of Kyogres already. Just because lucky? Not sure worth the dust.
