Houndoom and Tyranitar

I heard Houndoom has higher DPS than Tyranitar thank to his much better moveset, however like comparing Machamp to Hariyama, and SE Golem to HP Vaporeon against their respective weak-type raid boss, the bulkiest ones of each side have more TDO and the more glassy has more DPS, right? Houndoom has more DPS but Tyra has more TDO against Mew2

Houndoom's DPS advantage is mostly theoretical. In real situations and sims, Tyranitar has better DPS and better TDO. A plausible explanation for this is the fact that Tyranitar is much less likely to waste energy with its moveset and better bulk. So just go with Tyranitars if you have them.
