Heracross Question

Thanks to a trip to Disney World I got a Heracross
Level 25 IV82
HP 15
Attack 7
Defense 15
Counter/Close Combat
My current trainer Level 33
I have 30 Heracross candy
I am tried of walking Chansey. Is Heracross worth walking to power up? The low attack stat makes me hesitant.
Macop is super rare, I have been playing since July and only have 100 candy currently.

Well, if you can't often visit regions where Heracross spawn then you're chances of finding a better one are slim to none so if you really want to then yes. 82% just makes the best appraisal and attack is its best attribute

Definitely yes. I envy you and your GreatBigBug.
It has also 15 hp 15 def IV, so it has ita lowest stats improved to the maximum.
A pkmn to love and be proud of!

I would say that that is worth powering up. You're not likely to catch any other any time soon, it's got a 15 attack stat (and you'll presumably be using it for attacking), and it has the best attacking moveset (taking Blissey and Snorlax into account).

Now if you have a bunch of powered up Machamps with good movesets, maybe you don't need a powered up Heracross, but otherwise, why not?

EDIT: Misread that 7 attack stat. But my statement still stands.

Start using it now in battles, if you are having fun with it, then yes! power it up to at least lvl30.

If you don't see yourself going to the Heracross region again before you stop playing PoGo (or when the game hits EoL, maybe 3-4 years tops?), then I'd make it my buddy for sure. At lvl 25 it's already outside prestige range, so its use now is as a strong Blissey/Snorlax counter. I'd get it to lvl 30 minimum.

Also, if the speculations are true about gyms becoming limited to 1 species per gym, then you have the 10th-highest CP mon in the game. (Normally, this would be Golem/Exeggutor outside the Heracross region.) Pushing it beyond lvl 30 would be an option here. It'd be awesome to see soemthing different like that in gyms, but unfortunately be prepared for some people to accuse you of being a spoofer.

I put it in my local gym the first day back. I'm a regular and the gyms only last 10 minutes. I was just excited to show it off.

Absolutely, without question, power it up. I'm inclined to doubt whether this is even a serious question, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it is.

The attack IV is the least important since Heracross already has a high attack stat. And remember, the IV just gets added to the base stat. So, yours will have an attack stat of 241 (234+7), compared with a perfect stat of 249. And it is otherwise perfect, and has the best attacking moveset.

And fighting pokemon are apparently difficult for you to obtain, and Heracross is not available in your home region. I'd love to hear your reasoning for possibly not powering it up.

Yes, I'm just glad there is a place to catch him that doesnt have Brazilian wondering spiders.

I have walked a 73% Counter/Megahorn with even worse ATK stat for over 500 KM. He is super fun, metagame relevant, gets a high CP, and will make your fellow teammates/opponents jealous. Go for it!!!

I'm taking the kids there in September OP. Did you manage to find a Corsolla also?

Yes I found Corsolla at Disney Springs 1 and Magic Kingdom 1. They were really rare compared to the
Heracross, which I saw at all four parks. Heracross was most common in Animal Kingdom, the Africa area.

Most definitely yes, power him up. If not all the way, then at least to the point that he can take down Blissey and Snorlax without much effort (this should be your main use for him considering the moveset). I too just returned from a trip to South Florida and found some high CP Heracross with average IVs while I was there. I didn't get the C/CC moveset that I had hoped for, but a 2200 C/MH Heracross I captured was more than capable of shredding a 3000 Snorlax and 2700 Blissey in separate instances when I was testing him. I don't know why, but it felt far stronger than my Machamp.

Sure, stack him up.

Wow u must have been disappointed when apprasing it, thinking it could have been an extremely high iv Mon only for it to be only 82%...

When it starts out with HP and Defense 4 out 4, I was really hoping for a high attack as well. I really need a fighting poke, I have been using a Pinsir with double fighting moves. I am still the only player in my town with one, that is the bright side.

There's hardly any difference between 241 and 249 attack stat. Close combat will probably do 2-3 more points of damage per use.

Definitely not a reason to not power up this Heracross if you're not normally in the region where they spawn. You probably wouldn't notice the difference between it and a prefect one if you were to use both against a Blissey if the CPs were hidden.
