Help! Plus won't connect....

I keep getting "Can't communicate with Pokemon GO Plus" repeatedly, no matter what I do (restart phone, Bluetooth, app... all the tricks I thought I knew).

Any idea what it could be? It seems it won't stay available for Bluetooth to pair with, but I have no clue why. It does not appear to have a low or bad battery, at least I'm not getting the symbol.

Since I am planning to hunt this weekend (work interfered with serious grinding ;) I need my Plus to cooperate!

Thanks for any info.

There are known issues with certain phones becoming incompatible with the Plus, particularly when they update to a new OS. My Moto Z Play has not been able to connect with my Plus for months for this reason. Good luck, Niantic never gave me any useful help or advice any of the times I reported my issue.

Not very encouraging, but thanks for the info. I have an older phone, Galaxy S5.

Try to reset the goplus. For that:
1.press the goplus button 6 seconds (The light will turn blue)
2.unpress the button and wait 2 seconds
3.press the goplus button again 6 seconds.
4.unpress the button again and wait 10 seconds

Now connect Bluetooth on your mobile and proceed to connect the goplus

I've done that, it worked in the past but now it just goes into an endless "Can't communicate...." cycle. Very frustrating.

But thanks for the reply!

When you say restart Bluetooth do you just mean turn it off and on or forget the Pokemon go device and connect to it again?

I've done all of that, restarting Bluetooth, disconnecting, etc. It always worked before, but now it's like it's haunted (wait... maybe it is? Have I caught too many ghosts?!)

Thanks for replying.

Is the phone being used for multiple accounts?

Multiple PoGO accounts (sorry, had to clarify)? Of course not, I'm not a cheater.

I even cleared the cache and still no luck. What's weird, it appears to be connected with the triangle symbol, but the Plus symbol is just a shadow.

I would write tech support, but it seems they have not been helpful according to other posts.

Try to remove the battery, wait for a minute or two, put the battery back and reconnect. Sometimes this works.

Thanks, unfortunately this didn't work either.

I don't understand how it worked (well enough, problems could always be fixed) for 3 1/2 months and now this mess :-(

Try to connect the Go+ with another phone. If it connects, there's a problem with your phone connection. If it doesn't connect, there's problem with the Go+. Good luck.
