Help Please !!

Lately, I've been experencing a drastic decline in drop rates of pokemons. The same route which I walk daily has only 3 - 4 mons showed up per hour as compared to 30 - 40. Is there any way to fix it? Tks.

Have you been involved in any usage of an external IV checker (particularly those that ask you to login)? If you used IV checkers that require you to login, stop using them immediately.

This sounds like a shadow ban to me, in which you are only limited to common spawns, and fewer of them.

The shadow ban prevents you from seeing anything other than common Pokémon when playing Pokémon Go. So, for example, if you're standing with a friend and a rare Pokémon spawns for them but not for you, and that happens repeatedly, it's possible you've been shadow banned.

If you've already been shadow banned and can't see anything other than common spawns, there's a couple things you can do.

First, make sure you've removed any app or service that could be abusing the Pokémon Go API through your account. There's some indication that shadow bans, like soft bans, aren't permanent and, if your account resumes normal activity, could become un-banned in a few days or a week.

Second, if you feel like you've been banned in error, you can contact Pokémon Go's developer, Niantic, and submit a request for help:

Go to https://support.pokemongo.nianticlabs.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=233187
Enter your trainer name (the exact name on your account) and email address.
Explain your situation.
Hit Submit.

I was shadowbanned for using IV Go in May...uninstalled that app and changed Google password and was back seeing everything in 5 days. For a while it probably wasn't that bad to be shadowbanned, there were times all I wanted was balls for pidgey...it would be terrible right now though

Another possibility, don't keep your PoGo app running too much...some try to get extra drift distance b/c their phone and wifi have an inexact location pinpoint.

Also, my city has an effective and wellknown "raid map"...well, people now use it everyday b/c no other way to organize a tough raid...well, it has spawn info on it too. If you use that info about raids and such...live-on, but make sure you don't give them specific location or login info

Tks. It's bad timing to be shadow banned. Wonder why Niantics do care about these things?

Niantic thinks that is how some of the scanning websites get their info, I'm sure way more complicated than that though
