Help with the new iOS update.

So I have the iPhone 6. I still haven't upgraded my phone. Anyways, so I finally decided to updated my iOS software. I saw the bad reviews it was getting, so I initially held back. I'm really regretting updating my software. My game is very laggy. The Pokemon Go plus is pretty much useless now. It is like a good 5 seconds behind what I see on my phone. Before you'd click on the Pokemon Go plus once and it would work, now you have to click 4-5 times before it starts working. Help, please.
