Has walking to evolve ubreon and espeon been confirmed

I can confirm that it worked for me.
Walked exactly 10km, evolved during day mode in the game and got a Espeon.
My eevee was still set as my buddy when evolving.

It works.

i like the fact they gave us a reusable way of impacting the result...

and its not like its too easy as it requires a full 10km worth of buddy walking to trigger.

Would just be too random if we had 5 different possibilities when evolving

I am in the same boat as OP, used up the name trick get ZH/psychic, evolved 10+ eevee get only the gen1 eevolutions ,but walking 10 km is a bit time-consuming though.
