Has Niantic eliminated Rare Candies from raids?

In the last four raids I completed I was awarded no Rare Candies. I understand Niantic added potions to raid rewards, but has that come at the total expense of Rare Candies or just made them even rarer? Receiving Rare Candies is the best part of the rewards for doing raids. How are we going to level up the legendary raid bosses we catch if there are no Rare Candies? There are other ways to get potions, but not Rare Candies. Very disappointing!

Not eliminated but they are much more rare than they previously were. Instead of getting like 6-14 rare candies per legendary raid, you now get around 3-6 depending on luck. They also made it more likely to get potions from raids now.

Correction: 0-6*. Lol

The number of rare candies I've been receiving have been laughably low. Really no incentive to do more than one raid a day anymore.

I agree. I had been doing 3-5 raids per day, actually spending real $ for the first time, but I think I'll cut back to the one freebie and focus on stardust. I'd already decided to resume spending my 50 daily coins on incubators just for the extra hatching dust.

I did an Articuno raid a couple hours ago and received 3.

I got 9 from a raid today, but usually only get 0, 3 ,or 6 now.

My returns have been about the same: 9, 3, and 0 candies from my last three legendary raids. Surprisingly, plenty of TMs. I didn't expect that. The decrease in golden raspberries will hurt the most I believe. I'm already conserving them by using regular raspberries on most non-Legendary raids.

Golden raz also nerfed. Supply dropping fairly rapidly for me so am going to only use them on 90% iv plus ones now. Also dropping candy supply.

I got zero in three raids today (Lugia, Moltres, Zapdos), and it doesn't appear to be based on damage %, because I was the highest level player and got max damage bonus in each raid.
The last raid, I also got no golden razz either, just 10 hyper potions, 20 revives, and 20 super potions. Not really any incentive there. I don't mind getting potions in lieu of revives, but not as a replacement for rare candy and golden razz.

The number of reward bundles you get is equal to the number of premier balls minus one. More reward bundles means more chances to get good rewards ... or just more chances to get flooded with revives.

Well, they don't call it a "Rare" Candy for nothing lol

I'm once again getting rare candy, 3 for most raids. I'm building up a supply of golden razz again, usually feed nanabs on reward throws. Yes worthwhile prizes have been reduced, but it has more factors than random luck. If someone is really interested (and they can navigate the internet) they can find that info/research

Now "rare" candies are actually rare. Gold razz became somewhat rare as well, now even less people will care about defending gyms. Aint got the time and berries for that.

Out of three legendary raids today, I received:

  1. 30 super potions
  2. 20 super potions, and 5 or 10 (I forget) hyper potions
  3. 10 super potions, 5 hyper potions, and 10 revives

In other words, nothing but potions for the first two, and potions plus revives for the third -- all of which are easily obtained for free from pokestops. Since I'm already packing over 500 max potions and almost 200 max revives, I've already been throwing away all of my super potions, regular potions, and most of my regular revives. I was not pleased with these rewards.

Fortunately, I also did a Tyranitar raid, and received a Fast TM, three rare candies, and a few golden razz's.
