Has anyone lost weight playing this game?
I've lost nearly 6 pounds in just under 3 weeks playing this game. So, about 2 pounds a week. Has anyone else used/added this game to their weight loss program? Have you had any success?

The game has always been fitness first for me. I actually walk/run for my kms. About 1600 kms. Combined with diet, I lost about 30 lbs, and a lot of this was when I could only walk. (I tore my pectoral tendon off the bone, so I couldn't run or do any kind of weight training.) I quit playing for a couple months, Dec-Jan and did cardio in the gym, and started weight training in Jan. Since then I have added back 15 lbs in muscle. As soon as the weather warms up, I want to start training for a half marathon and then a marathon, using pokemon as my motivation. I have a lot of eggs to hatch and I need some buddy candies!
Edit: Going to bed, I will check out comments tomorrow. I am curious to see if others have similar stories!
Yup...just prior to playing I cracked the 100kg mark for the first time in my life, and was going a bit soft around the middle. I am 6ft and had always been pretty solid.
I have dropped back to my more regular 90kg, and lost the soft cuddly overcoat I was collecting.
It wasn't intentional, but a very welcome by-product of playing.
Buy a go plus watch. Then you can minimize the app and put your phone to sleep. I went on a ten mile run yesterday and caught nearly 200 Pokemon by pressing the button whenever it vibrated. I only lost about 30% charge. This is a huge driving force in my half ironman training because I can do both at the same time. One problem is if you run any faster than about 6mph, you don't get full buddy and egg distances. I get 1km per every mile I run.
I don't actually know if I have lost weight or not, since I don't track my weight (no weight scale in our bathroom anymore).
But it has definitely gotten me in far better physical shape. I started playing one month ago and was in terrible shape. I actually justified playing Pokemon Go by the fact that I was going on a skiing vacation and needed to get in shape for that. It worked! I didn't get tired skiing at all. But now I'm back from the skiing holiday, so I need a new excuse.
Before the game I did not walk even half as I do know, I played basketball every week one or two times.
With the game I make my own routes on my way to work and after on the way back home and go out to walk at least 7-8km every day (more on weekends).
I have not lost much weight because I have thyroidism and it is very hard for me to actually loss weight without even eating too much, but I have lost 8kg on the last few months mainly thanks to the game and I am proud of it, my goal is to lose 10 more and I will be on my perfect weight, the most I have walked was during the 2 double candies event (the 4x buddy was awesome on halloween), so I really expect some kind of event like that in the near future :D
Don't really have any weight to lose but definitely got a tan during the summer and got in better shape. Couldn't make it up a certain steep hill near home in the beginning but can do it fairly easy now. Also cut back on smoking, feel rude lighting one in public places while playing and pogo keeps my mind occupied.
I used to jog with Runkeeper and Music Player Folder, and I average about 4-5km each session. Now, I jog with Runkeeper and Pokemon Go, and I have 8-10km sessions. I realized that running longer and farther was not a stamina issue, but willpower. With PoGo, I was distracted, and kept going, to catch that next mon, spin that next stop, hatch that next egg. I have signed up for a half-marathon for the first time. That's 10km x2 eggs, totally worth it!
