Gyms don't show top mon anymore

Is it a local glitch here, or did anybody else also notice that the animation of the highest CP mon on top of the gym towers is gone?

Sounds like just a glitch to me. I saw it earlier today, so not gone for me.

I also think I saw it earlier, but now it's gone. I can see five gyms from here, but none of them shows the usual animation of a mon on top of it. Already restarted the app, nothing.

On one of the five gyms I see from here it is back. It is also the only gym which had any activity, someone put a mon in a free slot

True for a phone that also has minor graphic glitches, though the mon shows up after I take a look into that gym. This is logical though: how do you know what's inside until you look? If this is a side effect of the performance improvement, I don't mind.
