Gym rework wish list

Mark the gym and battle later
It is silly and unhealthy standing under the sun for an hour to beat the level 10 gym. You should be allowed to walk to a gym, mark it and fight it within the next 2 hours. 10k prestige to add a Pokemon.
Everybody has her own accumulated prestige score. Once you have 10k score, you can spend it and add a Pokemon to a team gym. Shaving is no longer useful since adding a Pokemon requires 10k prestige score no matter what. Option to challenge an opponent.
If I see smallSeattle has a Pokemon in the gym, I should be able to choose to challenge his Pokemon only if he is open to challenge, please see 6. If I beat his Pokemon 10 times, his Pokemon is removed from the gym.

4. 20 defense Pokemons max in the gym per person. You could put them all in one gym or spread to 20 gyms. This way, even a rural player can earn 100 coins a day.
5. Co-own a gym
Red and yellow can co-own a gym. Each gym has 3 team scores. As long as there is an open spot for your team, you can add a Pokemon to the gym. Instead of battle, you could choose peace.
6. I realize that personal challenge could lead to bully. The defender should be allowed to reject challenge. Only when the defender is open to challenge, you could fight and remove his Pokemon without fighting the other Pokemons in his team. Otherwise, to remove his Pokemon, you must follow the traditional way to beat the gym and remove his teams Pokemons before removing his pokemon. Level 30+ players lose the rights to reject challenge from lower level players.

"Level 30+ players lose the rights to reject challenge from lower level players"
This might result in botters using multiple level 29 accounts to challenge certain people repeatedly.

Bubblestrat makes all the unlimited prestige scores unlikely...someone will just alt account their bubbler or a few, prestige for like 30 minutes, make the prestige 100 or 200k, put their main accounts...win and never get kicked out...

Don't really agree with (1) or (3) or (4) neither since it allows bullying, targeting specifically and very doubtful they will allow an outside game so you can play later (1). (4) is bad since 1 person can lockdown a gym next to his house and no one else can ever ever play...

At least in a week or so, we finally don't have to speculate anymore and can discuss strategies instead...

Revised based on your feedback. To prevent bubblestrat, adding one more rule is enough - the max prestige score is the smaller of 1000 or the CP of the Pokemon. So if you beat a Pokemon with CP 20, you could get 20 prestige score max.

1.
Yes, it is very good for legit players, but it also benefits spoofers.

2.
100000000 prestige is really hard to take down, how much time would it cost against 10000 3173 CP Blisseys?

3.
Not fair, some players are always targeted by cheaters. Also not fair for the cheater.

4.
It is really good, but the gym is currently maxed at level 10, you have to add more levels.

5.
I had the same idea before, though.

6.
It makes beating a high level gym with multiple Blisseys easier.

I see a Problem:
With a given town with 30 or more gyms, there is no reason to battle anymore. Each team has its 10 gyms, every player gets his 100 coins effordlessly.
With unlimited Space in every gym, there is no limited ressource to fight for.

  1. Get rid of spoofers/bots.

  2. Limit one type of mon per gym.
  3. Eliminate bubblestrat. You can only place level 10 (or whatever) mons or higher in gyms.
  4. Limit the number of players who can work to simultaneously take down a gym to 2 or 3. 10 players taking down a gym in seconds and then prestiging it up to level 10 is just not fair. Most people play this game solo or in pairs - or so I believe.

That's about it. Small changes. Nothing complex at all. Would make for a better and fairer game.

I think it'd be more helpful if we all just wait a week and see. It's all coming soon so not much more waiting.

That said, I've said before and would actually support co-op gyms...I never let rival teams build up in my town so in a way, I am "ruining" the game for 10-20 other players...

In a co-op gym, maybe you can be the Champion of (Insert Team) and still get all the benefits, but the 10 or 20 other players can also build up a gym...

Generally, 1 hardcore player can destroy any gym and relatively quickly too (most 2600 Blisseys? No problem, 60 secs, done...) so if you have 20 friends in 1 area, at least they can get some benefits too...

Honestly, if Ninatic was smart they would put out the info on Rework Now.

Take 2 weeks of the net to look for feedback and ideas.

Then tweak it if needbe.

The problem with game developers is that they rarely realize the 10,000+ brains are smarter than developer's brains.

10k to add is silly.

It's too much to add, and in reverse too much to remove to knock down. You will stagnate gyms even more.

The only way to stop shaving, is to not stop it, and make it harder. Add a timer on Logging out of Pokemon, say 5 min, before you can log back in.

Timer for logging out will not affect players with 2 devices. Also, it will instead affect legit players who catch the same rare Pokemon for multiple accounts.

I didn't say it would stop all multi-account players.

I just said it would reduce it.

Sometimes "Perfection" is the enemy of the Good.

Incidiently, you're not a legit player. " it will instead affect legit players who catch the same rare Pokemon for multiple accounts."

There is no such thing as a Legit player who catches the same rare on multiple accounts. Multiple Accounts and Logging in someone's else account are both against Terms of Use. Ergo, you're not legit.

And this would be something that they could try and reduce with a timer.

The game often crashes, which is annoying enough. Adding 5 mins to log back in, I will stop playing.

If what triggers the timer, is going to "settings" and hitting "Log out"

Then crashes wouldn't be effected. Just logging out, which is different than Crashing, would trigger it.

  1. Stop the bots.
Last month, there was a sudden wave of Instinct botters building gastly stratted Blissey towers (mostly level 10) everywhere. This is a 10x bigger problem than spoofers and shavers. Instinct players could not train up the level 10 gyms (and had to spend a lot of time and potions prestiging Blisseys in those that weren't level 10), Mystic and Valor players had a hard time taking down the Blissey towers. It's a lose-lose situation. Luckily the bots were banned very quickly, but new ones started appearing.
  2. Fix gym slot shaving and sniping.
The area which I live in has the most active gyms in my city, so these are not a big problem. But in other areas, they can be a serious problem for legit players.
  3. Fix the dodge HP refund glitch.

Seriously I don't mind spoofers as long as they don't disrupt our gym activity, and don't snipe our gym slots.
