Gym glitch?

Anyone else notice these weird type icons covering their normal gym badge icons? Is there something behind this? The gym I’ve currently got a Pokemon in is a small abra nest, is the new badge icon the physic type icon? Coincidence? Just thought I’d ask

I've gotten that bug a couple of times, but only with the dragon type symbol so it must be a coincidence for you.

I was going to post recently about the same thing. I think it's do with the last defender typing at each gym that's displayed instead of the Gym photo.
