Gym badge points decrease
I just noticed that my gym bagde level decreased from silver to bronze in several gyms i haven't visited for some time. I am curious about this game mechanics, since i never thought this could be an issue. I also couldnt find it mentioned on any website. Do any of you know what are the specific requests on gym activity, that could prevent this from happening?

The only time I've heard of something similar is when a gym's corresponding POI get moved or deleted and replaced in Ingress. (I don't know the exact details.) But IIRC, that left the player with the old badge with their previous progress and they got a new duplicate badge that was started fresh.
Try looking through your full list of gym badges and sort alphabetically to see if you have two with the same name for that gym. A single raid is enough BP to get bronze, so if you noticed this downgrade to your badge after a raid, that could be what happened.
