Gyarados max out or evolve another one ?

Long time no see ppl hope everyone's having a good time during this event.

As the title says, I need 50 more magikarp candy and I will be able to evolve my 4th gyarados the question is should I max out the one I just evolved before this since he has DT/OR or evolve one with better iVs?

iVs + CPs are as followed:

Gyarados
89% 1944CP DT/OR
87% 1567CP B/T
82% 1700CP B/DP

Magikarp
96% 98CP
93% 134CP
91% 52CP

Power up the 89% cp1944. This is more versatile than the others and a higher level w/ superior IVs however slight. Evolve the cp134 Karp when you can

I would power up the DT one, good IVs, great moveset, and your candies probably won't be over, you can evolve your 4th Gyarados later.

These are good IVs for an attacker but I'd stop powering them at level 30, don't max it out. They should leave you with around 2750 CP by then. Only max it out if you are going to throw it in a gym for a gym spot.

(I only max out my 100 IV gyarados, everything else except the twister one I powered to level 30).
