Growlithe biome

Where are they??? I finally hatched an excellent growlithe (98iv!), but at this rate it will take a month to evolve and much longer to power. Of the 6000 Pokemon I've caught, I've only got a total of 32 growlithe, a few of those from incense and eggs. All arcanine have had bulldoze so far.

What type of area should I look in? It's the last type(fire) I need to round off my team. Help.

I think he usually appears in far from water rock zones, but in my (very dry) town is confusing cause only Pidgey and Rattata appears more than Growlithe. I have around 1000 candies, 6 almost perfects Arcanines up to 2400 and I've never spend any dust or candies in them (only evolving 1100/1200 CP wild good IV Growlithes)

From Andalucía, in Spain. Near Tabernas Desert, where Clint did the Dolar Trilogy ;)

California is great for them. I traveled there over the summer more specifically to LA area.
I also run a twitter page for serious pokemonGo players feel free to check it out. https://twitter.com/PokemonCollege

I often find them in parks. I can't confirm the "far from water", here in Mainz Germany is a growlithe nest only 30 meters from the Rhine and they sit next to poliwag, staryu et. al.

Growlithe's biomes are away from grass and water biomes. Look places far away from water bodys, specially in rural areas, I live in a town on México and Growlithe's is the most common Pokémon, but my town is the only one (in the zone) that doesn't have a near river. There are also a lot of meowths, ekans and bug and ground pokemons.

Likewise for me. I am in Utah, United States and we get so many growlithes, I am only level 24 and have 7 arcanines. Paras and ratata are freakishly common, and so are meowths and ekans like this guy here. Mankeys too for whatever reason. Diglets are somewhat less common and a few scattered types.

Yeah!! Looks like we have the same biomes. I forgot to mention that there are a lot of mankeys!!! I live in the state of Nayarit but in the continental side, away from the coast line

I guess being in a growlithe biome isn't bad but I would rather be in a dragonite/lapras/snorlax one. I have seen ONE snorlax on tracker and couldn't find it lol. I would even rather have bellsprout/bulbasaur/oddish be common than growlithe heh. I really really need those types and I find them if I am lucky in the mountains. Fortunately I managed to get enough exeggute for an exeggutor (mostly buddy system) but I really want more grass-types.

I recently found a spot that has snorlax a few times a day it seems like, same spot. I don't think it's biome related. If snorlax isn't there it will be a semi rare mon like scyther/ivysaur/abra. Maybe just "rare" spawn points will spawn it occasionally. I'm up to 6 from there I think now since I found the spot 4 days ago.

Well I saw the snorlax in an area that only spawns 1-2 pokemon at a time so it would be a terrible spot to look in. I am not even sure where to find those pokemon that do spawn as well. hm...

Take a vacation in Los Angeles. I've evolved 15 Arcanines. During the recent event they were spawning 3 and 4 at a time in a strip mall near me.

I wish I could. I figured I could just go to a field or industrial area or something. It seems it's just different parts of the country have different Pokemon. I thought it was a little different than that.

I've cought 130 Growlithe almost same as Pidgey (154), Rattata(156) but bug, grass pokemons are non-existent here (Morocco : dry climate).
